Four solar lentigines on the right side of the face, two weeks after Reepot laser treatment.

After keeping the DuoDERM patches in place for two weeks, we gently remove them—and the brown crusts over the treated areas come off with the dressing.

The areas where the lentigines were already look much clearer.

But treatment doesn’t end when the patches come off. The newly regenerated skin is still healing, so proper sun protection and gentle aftercare are important to help reduce the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH).

2-Week Follow-Up After REEPOT and Ruby Laser Treatment

A woman in her mid-30s received REEPOT laser treatment for solar lentigines and Ruby laser treatment for freckles and sun spots during the same visit.

At the 2-week follow-up, the solar lentigines had cleared well with the DuoDERM dressing. The Ruby laser scabs were healing naturally and are expected to fall off over time.

REEPOT targets well-defined solar lentigines, while the Ruby laser can be used for freckles and superficial pigmentation. Together, they may be a useful treatment combination for different types of pigmentation.
