الناس غالبًا يربطون الحزن بالاكتئاب فقط.
ولما يشوفون شخص يعيش حياته، يداوم، ويطلع بشكل طبيعي يعتقدون إنه مستحيل يكون عنده اكتئاب.

لكن الاكتئاب مو دائمًا يكون واضح.
أحيانًا الشخص يكمل حياته بشكل طبيعي، لكن يفقد شغفه، واهتمامه بالأشياء اللي كان يحبها، أو يتأثر نومه ويصير يشعر بفراغ داخلي بدون سبب واضح.

عشان كذا مهم جدًا طلب المساعدة والتحدث عن المشاعر.
مو كل المعارك النفسية تكون ظاهرة للناس.💙

People often confuse sadness with depression.
When they see someone going to work, socializing, or living their daily life, they assume they’re fine and couldn’t possibly be depressed.

But depression does not always look like staying in bed or crying all the time.
Sometimes it looks like losing your spark, losing interest in the things you once loved, struggling to sleep, or simply feeling emotionally disconnected while still functioning every day.

How can parents tell the difference between normal behavior and something more concerning?

It often depends on three things: duration, intensity, and impact on daily functioning.

✨ If a behavior lasts only a couple of days after a stressful event, it can be a normal emotional response.
⚠️ But if it continues for several weeks, it may need closer attention.

✨ The intensity also matters. If the reaction seems extremely severe compared to the situation, it could be concerning.

✨ Most importantly, notice whether it affects daily functioning — such as sleep, eating, school, social interactions, or daily routines. Changes in these areas are important signs to pay attention to.

💬 If you’re unsure whether your child’s behavior is part of normal development or something more serious, seeking professional guidance can help provide clarity and support.

كيف يمكن للأهل التمييز بين السلوك الطبيعي وبين ما قد يكون مقلقًا؟

يعتمد ذلك غالبًا على ثلاثة أمور: المدة، شدة السلوك، وتأثيره على الأداء اليومي.

✨ إذا استمر السلوك لبضعة أيام فقط بعد موقف مؤثر، فقد يكون رد فعل طبيعيًا.

✅ خلّ صوتك هادي
✅ قلّل الكلام
✅ أعطه مساحة يهدأ بدون ضغط
وبعد ما يهدأ، علّمه كيف يعبّر عن نفسه بطريقة ثانية
When your child has a meltdown — they don’t always need a quick reaction from you
Most parents rush to stop the situation fast… but in that moment, your child isn’t being “difficult” — they simply can’t regulate their emotions yet 💛
✅ Lower your voice
✅ Say less
✅ Give them space to calm down without pressure
Once they’re calm, then you can teach them healthier ways to express themselves

نوبة الهلع لو ما تعالجت، ما تروح لحالها
مع الوقت ممكن تتطور لشيء أصعب يُسمى "الخوف من الخوف" أو ما يعرفه المختصون بـ Anticipatory Anxiety
وش يصير؟ الشخص يبدأ يخاف من النوبة نفسها، قبل ما تصير يبدأ يتجنب الأماكن اللي حصلت فيها النوبة يبدأ حياته تضيق شوي شوي بدون ما يحس
وهذا بالضبط اللي يخلي العلاج المبكر مهم جداً
أول ما تحس بنوبة هلع، لا تتجاهلها ولا تقول "بتعدي لحالها" اطلب المساعدة بكير، لأن التدخل المبكر يوقف هالحلقة قبل ما تبدأ 💙
أنت مو ضعيف لأنك تعبت، أنت شجاع لأنك طلبت المساعدة
