Join us for our upcoming Lunch & Learn: Yoga Therapy, focused on the benefits of trauma-informed yoga and how it can support emotional, physical, and mental well-being.

🌈✨ Introducing I.D: Space. A safe and supportive space for LGBTQIA+ young people in the Cayman Islands.

In partnership with the Alex Panton Foundation, the Department of Counselling Services is proud to launch a peer support group focused on connection, education, empowerment, and community.

💬 What to expect:
• Peer support and shared experiences
• Mental health education and coaching
• Information sharing from partner agencies
• Opportunities to help shape a charter for LGBTQIA+ young people in Cayman.

📍 Starts: Wednesday, June 3rd | 6PM–7:30PM
📍 Venue: Adonis House, 75 Fort Street, GT
📍 Ages: 18–30 years old
📍 Runs every two weeks
🍕 Refreshments and snacks available

Stress Management & Anxiety Lunch and Learn, led by Mr. Willis Atherley-Bourne, Therapist at The Counselling Centre, was both insightful and engaging 🌿🧠

During the session, we explored the different symptoms of stress and anxiety, discussed healthy coping strategies, and learned practical ways to better manage our mental well-being both personally and professionally.

💡 Did you know?
When you spend long periods staring at a screen, your blink rate naturally decreases. Normally, people blink around 15–20 times per minute, but while using a computer or phone, that number can drop significantly, which can lead to dry, tired eyes and headaches 👀💻

This Lunch and Learn served as a great reminder to pause, breathe, blink, and take care of ourselves mentally and physically.

A huge thank you to LIFE (Literacy Is For Everyone) for their generous donation of books for children of all ages to our waiting area at the Department of Counselling Services. 📚✨

This wonderful initiative will help create a more welcoming, comforting, and engaging space for the children and families we serve. We are incredibly grateful for partnerships like this that continue to make a meaningful impact in our community.
