Myth
“You won’t get over infidelity unless you forgive the person and forget what happened.”
Fact
“Healing doesn’t mean forgetting or forgiving… it means finding your balance and rebuilding your life.”
Healing from infidelity doesn’t follow one single path, and it doesn’t require you to forgive the person who hurt you or return to the relationship.
Healing can mean understanding your emotions, rebuilding your self-trust, setting healthy boundaries, and making decisions that align with your needs and values.
You don’t have to forget what happened to move forward. And you don’t have to rush your healing.
Sometimes, healing simply means reaching a place where what happened no longer controls your life, your choices, or how you see yourself.
Remember: healing is not about erasing the past. It’s about finding yourself again.
Have you ever felt that moving on meant you had to forgive and forget?
