Sun awareness day in Anfeh in collaboration with Mersaco and the Municipality of Anfeh. A detailed lecture was presented on the harmful as well as the beneficial effects of the sun with particular emphasis on skin cancers caused by the harmful UV rays. The lecture was followed by a complimentary mole check, gift distribution and a cocktail to the audience. A special “by the Mediterranean” lunch was later served at chez.fouad where conversation was filled with future projects, fun ideas and laughter.

The Dermatology Alumni Chapter (DAC) of the American University of Beirut and in Collaboration with the department of Dermatology at AUBMC spent a full day in Berkayel Akkar at the Irshad medical center serving the community there. The medical team was led by honorary president of DAC and chairman of the department of dermatology Dr Abdel Ghani Kibbi, vice president of DAC, Dr Zeina Nehme along side dermatology residents Dr Elias Tayar and Dr Rasha Ftouni and nurses Zeina Koussa and Kathia Kozman. The mission started with an awareness campaign on scabies followed by medical consultations to 120+ patients and ended with a yummy lunch at Hallab 1881 in Tripoli. Looking forward to more community service missions.
