🩻 Cervical degenerative disc disease (spondylosis) can cause myelopathy (spinal cord compression and resulting symptoms), and in more severe cases can lead to myelomalacia which results from chronic cord compression and the reason for some irreversible damage to your nervous system going down from that compressed level(s).

❗️Early diagnosis and treatment can save the patient from late complications such as:
➡️Weakness in upper and lower extremities
➡️Loss of coordination in hands
➡️Imbalance in walking
➡️Urinary and re**al dysfunction

👨🏻‍⚕️ If patients complain of deformity alone and request surgical correction, the result and possible complications might set this up for failure.
