Over this very short period, the Association has gained the con

fidence and appreciation of an ever-growing number of colleagues and its congresses have attracted world-renowned colleagues in particular Presidents of ISAPS and of the Brazilian Society. It has now organized 5 Congresses and is preparing to organize a 6th on June 19-20, 2021 in the form of a Webinar instead of the planned Congress in Washington DC that had to be cancelled due to Covid-19. The bi-annual APSLD scientific congresses have been instrumental in promoting safe and state of the art Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery practice among Lebanese Plastic Surgeons, and are a great opportunity for our trainees to become aware of the enormous influence and notoriety Plastic Surgeons of Lebanese descent have worldwide. APSLD has also collaborated with the Lebanese Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery – LSPRAS, the Lebanese Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery – LSRM, and the Euro-Mediterranean Council for Burns and Fire Disasters – MBC in the organization of multiple scientific events. All colleagues with Lebanese ancestry from the mother or father side are welcome to join and share with all APSLD members common heritage and dreams and are invited also to reaffirm their roots in the land of their parents and grand parents by planting for eternity a Cedar Tree at the Shouf Biosphere Reserve – Barouk Cedar Forest and help expand and grow the APSLD Cedar Forest established in 2019.
