منذ ما يقارب المئة عام، يواصل المستشفى اللبناني الجعيتاوي الجامعي رسالته في وضع الإنسان أولًا.

واليوم، يفتح فصلًا جديدًا في مسيرته مع إدخال نظام Da Vinci Xi Dual Console للجراحة الروبوتية، في خطوة تجمع بين الابتكار الطبي، وإتاحة أحدث التقنيات للمرضى، والاستثمار في تعليم الجيل القادم من الجرّاحين.

هذه التقنية لا تعني فقط عمليات أكثر دقة وأمانًا، بل تُرسّخ أيضًا دور الجعيتاوي كمركزٍ أكاديمي متقدّم لتدريب طلاب كلية الطب في الجامعة اللبنانية والأطباء اللبنانيين على أحدث تقنيات الجراحة الروبوتية.

كلمة البابا لاون الرابع عشر في حفل تطويب البطريرك إلياس الحويّك:
أيّها الإخوة والأخوات الأعزّاء!
أُعلِن يوم أمس في لبنان تطويبُ البطريرك إلياس الحويّك، بطريرك أنطاكية للموارنة من سنة 1899 إلى سنة 1931، ومؤسِّس رهبانيّة راهبات العائلة المقدّسة المارونيّات. قاد الكنيسة المارونيّة لأكثر من ثلاثين سنة بتفانٍ كبير وحسٍّ رعويّ مرهف. وكان رجلَ حوارٍ ورجاء، ومرجعًا كنسيًّا واجتماعيًّا وسياسيًّا مضيئًا، حتّى لُقِّب بـ”أبي لبنان الكبير“. لترافق دائمًا صلاةُ الطّوباويّ الجديد وشفاعتُه المؤمنين الموارنة في كلّ العالم، ولتنل نعمة السّلام لكلّ شعب لبنان، العزيز على قلبي.
