💛 Celebrating World Down Syndrome Awareness Day 💛
Today, we proudly shine a light on one of our very own — Jadyn, a valued member of our team who brings joy, strength, and inspiration to everyone around her. Her presence reminds us daily that ability has no limits. 💙💛
What is Down Syndrome?
Down syndrome is a genetic condition that occurs when a person is born with an extra copy of chromosome 21. This can affect physical development, learning, and overall health — but individuals with Down syndrome live meaningful, vibrant, and fulfilling lives.
Can it be detected early?
Yes — Down syndrome can often be detected during pregnancy through:
• Ultrasound scans that look for specific markers
• Blood tests that assess the likelihood of chromosomal differences
• Diagnostic tests such as amniocentesis or chorionic villus sampling (CVS) for confirmation
Early detection allows families and healthcare providers to better prepare, support, and ensure the best possible care.
At Medical Imaging, we remain committed to providing accurate, compassionate care for every stage of life.
✨ Today we celebrate inclusion, awareness, and the beauty of every individual. ✨
