In Loving Memory of Nurse Karen Louis, Registered Nurse

Nurse Karen Louis passed away on April 29, 2026. She was a dedicated member of staff at St. Jude Hospital, where she served faithfully on the Pediatric Ward for 9 years and 8 months.

We mourn the loss of our very own Nurse Karen Louis, whose presence brought warmth, laughter, and light to all who had the privilege of knowing her during her years of service. Her jovial spirit and unwavering positivity uplifted her colleagues each day and created a welcoming and supportive environment for both staff and patients.

Affectionately known as “Lola,” Karen was a kind-hearted and compassionate individual. No matter how difficult or demanding a shift might have been, she always found a way to bring smiles to those around her. Her sense of humor and uplifting nature made even the toughest days more manageable.

Karen was a dedicated and diligent nurse who carried out her duties with care and professionalism. She was thoughtful in her work, particularly in documenting and administering medication, always ensuring that her patients received the highest standard of care. She was dependable and proactive, often reminding colleagues of ward activities and ensuring that tasks were completed in a timely manner.

She was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever the need arose, going above and beyond to support both her team and her patients. An exceptional planner and organizer, Karen approached every task with commitment and enthusiasm. No challenge was too great when it came to helping others.

Karen was truly an extraordinary individual with a golden heart, a beacon of inspiration to all who knew her. Her infectious smile and love of laughter brightened every room and lifted the spirits of everyone around her.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

To her daughter and family, the St. Jude Hospital family: the Board of Directors, Management Team, the Nursing Division and staff extend our heartfelt condolences. We stand with you during this difficult time and acknowledge that your pain is immeasurable. May the Lord of yesterday, today, and tomorrow bring you comfort and strength in your time of loss.

May her soul rest in peace.
