π Total Lunar Eclipse β March 3, 2026
On March 3, 2026 , the Full Moon will pass through Earthβs shadow during a Total Lunar Eclipse, producing the reddish appearance known as a βBlood Moon.β
In Sri Lanka, only the final partial phase will be visible shortly after moonrise, with the Moon appearing partly shaded near the eastern horizon.
This will be the last total lunar eclipse until 2028 . Members of the public are encouraged to observe the event from their respective locations, weather permitting.
