🙏 A Heartfelt Thank You to Aitken Spence Travels
We extend our deepest gratitude to Mr. Nalin Jayasundera, Managing Director of Aitken Spence Travels (Pvt) Ltd, for a highly generous donation to District General Hospital Chilaw.
In a wonderful gesture of corporate social responsibility, Mr. Jayasundera and his team have donated 20 high-quality Steel Glass Door Cupboards, valued at LKR 1,075,500.00. These storage units are an essential to restoring the facilities of our wards and units affected by Cyclone Ditwah 2025.
We would also like to thank Dr. Dinesh Koggalage (Deputy Director, District General Hospital Chilaw) for his excellent coordination with Mr. Malinda Ekanayake, Assistant General Manager, Aitken Spence ensuring these resources reached the hospital smoothly.

*The Sri Lanka Medical Association of North America (SLMANA) - West Inc.* donated 10 new medical Multipara Monitors worth 5.6 millions to the Chilaw District General Hospital on June 2, 2026, to replace equipment damaged by a recent cyclone. This effort was coordinated by the hospital director Dr. Sumith Attanayake, and Consultant Nephrologist (Kidney disease specialist) Dr. Udana Rathnapala, in collaboration with the association's Chief Financial Officer Mr.Methinda Jayawardena. *SLMANA West* is a charitable organization comprised of physicians and healthcare professionals of Sri Lankan descent living in the United States and Canada.

*උතුරු ඇමරිකාවේ ශ්‍රී ලංකා වෛද්‍ය සංගමයේ බටහිර ශාඛාව (Sri Lanka Medical Association of North America - West inc)* විසින් හලාවත දිස්ත්‍රික් මහ රෝහලට පසුගිය දිට්වා සුලි කුණාටුවෙන් හානි වු බහු පරාමිතික මොනිටර් (Multipara Monitors) සදහා මි.5.6 වටිනාකමකින් යුතු නව වෛද්‍ය උපකරණ 10 පරිත්‍යාග කිරීම 2026-06-02 දින සිදුකරන ලදි.මෙම අවස්ථාව රෝහල් අධ්‍යක්ෂතුමා විශේෂඥ වෛද්‍ය සුමිත් අත්තනායක මහතා හා වකුගඩු රෝග වෛද්‍ය විශේෂඥ වෛද්‍ය උදාන රත්නපාල මහතා විසින් එම සංගමයේ ප්‍රධාන මූල්‍ය නිලධාරි මෙතින්ද ජයවර්ධන මහතා සමග සම්බන්ධීකරණය කරන ලදී.
උතුරු ඇමරිකාවේ ශ්‍රී ලංකා වෛද්‍ය සංගමයේ බටහිර ශාඛාව යනු එක්සත් ජනපදයේ සහ කැනඩාවේ වෙසෙන ශ්‍රී ලාංකික සම්භවයක් ඇති වෛද්‍යවරුන්ගෙන් සහ සෞඛ්‍ය වෘත්තිකයන්ගෙන් සැදුම්ලත් පුණ්‍යාධාර සංවිධානයකි.
හලාවත දිස්ත්‍රික් මහ රෝහල වෙනුවෙන් නියොජ්‍ය අධ්‍යක්ෂ විශේෂඥ වෛද්‍ය දිනේෂ් කොග්ගලගේ මහතාත් සැලසුම් ඒකකයේ වෛද්‍ය පුබුදුනි ප්‍රනාන්දු මෙනවිය, තත්ත්ව- කලමණාකරන ඒකකයේ වෛද්‍ය යසානි හේරත් මහත්මිය හා මහජන සෞඛ්‍ය ඒකක වෛද්‍ය නිලධාරී වෛද්‍ය කුලේන්ද්‍රනාත් ප්‍රේමදාස මහතාද සහභාගි විය.
