A F Raymond Ltd A F Raymond (AFR) is Sri Lanka's and the region's oldest firm of Funeral Directors.

A F Raymond's was registered as a business in 1885, the Raymond family had been in Sri Lanka since the 17th century. Their family history can be traced back to a Dutch mercenary who fought during the many great wars at that time & then later settled down in Sri Lanka. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bentley Joachim, beloved husband of Rosemarie, loving father of Paul, Alison, and Karen, father-in-law of Souraya, and cherished grandfather of Ali.

Mortal remains will lie at A.F. Raymond’s Funeral Parlour for last respects from 9:00am to 3:00pm on Thursday, 14 May 2026.
