🍦 Windsor Gardens Vesak Ice Cream Dansala

Following our annual Vesak Bodhi Pooja at the nearby temple, Windsor Gardens was delighted to organise an Ice Cream Dansala for devotees and members of the community who had gathered to observe the Vesak celebrations.

Our residents and staff joined together in this act of giving, sharing refreshments with passers-by and visitors in the true spirit of Vesak.

It was a wonderful evening of generosity, kindness and togetherness, reflecting the values of compassion and sharing that Vesak inspires.

Following our annual Vesak Bodhi Pooja at the nearby temple, Windsor Gardens was delighted to offer an Ice Cream Dansala to members of the community, devotees and passers-by who had gathered to observe the Vesak celebrations.

📿 Annual Vesak Bodhi Pooja at Windsor Gardens

Last evening, residents and staff of Windsor Gardens gathered at the nearby temple for our annual Vesak Bodhi Pooja, a cherished tradition organised by Windsor Gardens each year as part of our Vesak observances.

Over the past few days, residents and staff also worked together to create and decorate Vesak lanterns for the temple, sharing in the joy, creativity and spirit of the season.

The evening was filled with prayer, reflection and gratitude, providing a meaningful opportunity to embrace the teachings and values of Vesak.

A meaningful day of reflection and spiritual enrichment at Windsor Gardens during our Vesak Sil Programme.
We were honoured to welcome a venerable monk from a forest monastery who conducted a Dhamma sermon and interactive Q&A session with our residents and staff. The discussion explored mindfulness, loving-kindness, inner peace, and the practical application of the Buddha's teachings in daily life.
The programme also included the offering of Ata Pirikara and opportunities for quiet reflection and meditation. We are grateful for the blessings and wisdom shared, which brought comfort, inspiration, and joy to our Windsor Gardens family.
May all beings be happy, peaceful, and well. 🙏☸️

Vesak Sil Programme – Metta (Loving-Kindness) Meditation

Today our residents and staff participated in Metta Bhavana (Loving-Kindness Meditation) as part of our Vesak Sil Programme.

In Buddhism, Metta is the cultivation of unconditional love, kindness, compassion, and goodwill towards all living beings. Through this practice we develop a peaceful mind let go of anger and resentment and extend wishes of happiness, health and well being to ourselves and others.
