Advanced Level Union Annual Lunch 2026
The Advanced Level Union Annual Lunch 2026 was held on Saturday, 16th May 2026, in a warm and celebratory atmosphere. The occasion was graced by the Chief Guest, Dr. S. P. Athiththan, Consultant Surgical Neurologist at the Teaching Hospital, Jaffna, and the Guest of Honour, Professor S. Raguraman, Professor in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna.
The proceedings commenced with an opening prayer led by the Chaplain, Rev. S. S. Jebachelvan, setting a solemn and respectful tone for the event. This was followed by the lunch, during which members and invitees enjoyed fellowship and camaraderie.
The loyal toasts were proposed thereafter in a fitting sequence. The toast to the Nation was proposed by P. Joel Sheron. This was followed by the toast to the Alma Mater, proposed by Dr. S. P. Athiththan and graciously responded to by the Principal, Mr. V. S. B. Thussetharan. The toast to the Advanced Level Union was proposed by Professor S. Raguraman and replied to by J. Thamilselvan. Finally, the toast to the Guests was proposed by J. Christo Abishanth and responded to by Ms. Neyomi Nilushanana Surenthiran.
The event concluded on a memorable note with the singing of the College Song, followed by group photographs, marking the end of a successful and meaningful gathering.
