Warm Welcome Ceremony for Newly Appointed Intern Medical Officers at DGH Mannar
District General Hospital, Mannar, warmly welcomed its newly appointed Intern Medical Officers at a special welcoming ceremony held with the participation of distinguished guests, hospital officials, religious leaders, and public representatives.
The ceremony was graced by the Regional Director of Health Services (RDHS) and the Director of District General Hospital, Mannar, Dr. M. H. M. Azaath, who warmly welcomed the newly appointed doctors and extended their best wishes as they begin their professional journey in the healthcare service.
The event was also honoured by the presence of Bishop Gnanapragasam Anthonipillai, representatives of all religious communities, Government Agent Mr. Kanageswaran, Chairman Mr. D. Vasanthan, Hon. A. Adaikalanathan, Member of Parliament, and Hon. M. Jegatheeswaran, Member of Parliament.
The distinguished guests addressed the gathering and encouraged the Intern Medical Officers to serve the people of Mannar with dedication, compassion, professionalism, and commitment. The ceremony highlighted the importance of unity and cooperation among healthcare professionals, government authorities, religious leaders, and the wider community in strengthening healthcare services in the district.

மன்னார் மாவட்ட பொது வைத்தியசாலையில் நரம்பியல் சத்திர சிகிச்சை விசேட கிளினிக் இன்று (09/01/2026) உத்தியோகபூர்வமாக ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டது.
இதுவரை நரம்பியல் சத்திர சிகிச்சை மற்றும் அதனுடன் தொடர்புடைய நீண்டகால நோய்களால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட மன்னார் மாவட்ட நோயாளிகள், சிகிச்சைக்காக யாழ்ப்பாணம் போதனா வைத்தியசாலைக்கு பயணம் செய்ய வேண்டிய நிலையில் இருந்தனர். இதனால் அவர்கள் பெரும் பிரயாண மற்றும் பொருளாதார சிரமங்களை எதிர்கொண்டு வந்தனர்.
இந்த நிலைக்கு தீர்வாக, மன்னார் மாவட்ட பொது வைத்தியசாலை பணிப்பாளர் டாக்டர் எம். எச். எம். அஸாத் அவர்களின் வேண்டுகோளுக்கிணங்க, யாழ்ப்பாணம் போதனா வைத்தியசாலை பணிப்பாளரின் அனுமதியுடன், யாழ்ப்பாணம் போதனா வைத்தியசாலையின் விசேட நரம்பியல் சத்திர சிகிச்சை வைத்திய நிபுணரின் சேவையில் இந்த கிளினிக் மன்னாரில் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
இந்த விசேட கிளினிக்கை யாழ்ப்பாணம் போதனா வைத்தியசாலை பணிப்பாளர் வைத்தியகலாநிதி த. சத்தியமூர்த்தி அவர்கள் இன்று (09/01/2026) ஆரம்பித்து வைத்தார்.

மன்னார், எழுத்தூர், செல்வ நகர் பகுதியில் இயங்கும் பிரம்மகுமாரிகள் தியான நிலையம் சார்பில், பேரிடரினால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட மன்னார் மாவட்ட மக்களின் சுகாதார சேவையை மேம்படுத்த மன்னார் மாவட்ட பொது வைத்தியசாலைக்கு ரூபாய்.1 இலட்சத்திற்கும் அதிக மதிப்புடைய சத்திர சிகிச்சைக்கு அத்தியாவசியமான மருந்துகள் மன்னார் மாவட்ட பொது வைத்தியசாலைக்கு வைத்தியசாலையின் பணிப்பாளர் Dr M. H. M. அஸாத் அவர்களிடம் அன்பளிப்பாக உத்தியோகபூர்வமாக கையளிக்கப்பட்டன. வைத்தியசாலையின் நோயாளி சேவையை மேம்படுத்தும் நோக்கில் வழங்கப்பட்ட இந்த அன்பளிப்பு, சிகிச்சை வசதிகளை மேலும் வலுப்படுத்தும் வகையில் பெரிதும் உதவும். சமூக நலன் கருதி மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்ட இந்த மனிதாபிமான சேவைக்கு வைத்தியசாலையின் பணிப்பாளர் தனது நன்றியையும் பாராட்டையும் தெரிவித்தார்.

Donation of Essential Surgical Medicines Worth Over LKR 100,000 to Mannar District General Hospital to Improve Healthcare Services for Disaster-Affected People
With the aim of improving healthcare services for the people of Mannar District affected by disasters, essential medicines required for surgical procedures, valued at over LKR 100,000, were donated to the Mannar District General Hospital.
This donation was made by the Brahma Kumaris Meditation Centre operating in the Mannar, Eluthoor, Selva Nagar area. The medicines were officially handed over to the Director of the Mannar District General Hospital, Dr. M. H. M. Azaath, in a formal ceremony.
Provided with the objective of enhancing patient care services at the hospital, this donation is expected to significantly strengthen treatment facilities. Appreciating this humanitarian initiative carried out in the interest of social welfare, the Hospital Director expressed his sincere gratitude and commendation to the donors.
