භින්නෝන්මාදය (Schizophrenia) රෝගයෙන් පෙළෙන හුඟක් අයට, තමන්ගේ ලෙඩේට වඩා සමාජයෙන් එල්ල වෙන මේ වගේ කටකතා සහ කොන් කිරීම් ලොකු වදයක් වෙනවා.

මේ ලේබල් එක පිටිපස්සේ ඉන්නේ තමන්ගේම මනසත් එක්ක ලොකු සටනක් කරන මනුස්සයෙක්. ඇත්ත මොකක්ද බොරුව මොකක්ද කියලා හිතාගන්න බැරුව, බයෙන් සහ අතරමං වීමෙන් ජීවත් වෙන මනුස්සයෙක්.

හැබැයි ඒ අයට ආදරය, කරුණාව ලැබෙනවා වෙනුවට හුඟක් වෙලාවට ලැබෙන්නේ අපහාසය, තනි කිරීම සහ මඟහැරීම විතරයි.

ඇත්තටම ස්කීසොෆ්‍රීනියා රෝගීන්ගෙන් සමාජයට අනතුරක් වෙනවාට වඩා, සමාජයෙන් ඒ අයට වෙන අසාධාරණකම් සහ ප්‍රචණ්ඩත්වය වැඩියි.

හැබැයි සමාජය තාමත් ඒ අයව දකින්නේ ප්‍රතිකාර සහ කරුණාව ලැබිය යුතු මනුස්සයෝ විදිහට නෙවෙයි, භයානක පුද්ගලයෝ විදිහටයි.

හුඟක් අය තමන්ගේ දුක හිතේ හංගගෙන නිශ්ශබ්දව විඳවනවා.

ඊයේ දිනයට යෙදුණු ලෝක භින්නෝන්මාදය දැනුවත් කිරීමේ දිනයේ අපේ අභියෝගය තමයි, "ඔබට තේරුම් ගන්න බැරි දෙයකට විහිළු කිරීම නතර කරන්න" කියන එක.

මොකද ඔබ "පිස්සෙක්" කියලා හංවඩු ගහන කෙනා, ඔබට හිතාගන්නවත් බැරි තරම් ලොකු මානසික සටනක් කරන කෙනෙක් වෙන්න පුළුවන්.

දැනුවත්භාවය කියන්නේ ලෙඩේ ගැන විතරක් දැනගෙන ඉන්න එක නෙවෙයි.

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), UNICEF, and Sarvodaya have teamed up to conduct several legal aid camps and awareness programmes today and tomorrow across several areas in the Puttalam district.

Today, you can also speak with a four-member team from our "Helping Hand" hospital if you have any mental health-related concerns. These legal aid and mental health support services are provided entirely free of charge.

Shaping the Future of Education: Empowering Teachers for the Gen Z Era

We identified a critical challenge in modern schools, and we are incredibly fulfilled to have taken this meaningful first step toward driving positive change.

Our session focused on a vital intersection: helping dedicated educators navigate and succeed in classrooms integrated with AI and digital technologies, while simultaneously safeguarding “mental health” in the digital age. We also delved into understanding the unique Gen Z mindset to foster more effective student communication and engagement.

The energy in the room was inspiring, and we are proud to share that we successfully concluded the workshop with incredible feedback from our participants. It is deeply encouraging to see educators so ready to embrace the future of learning!
