Heavy rainfall can rapidly trigger floods and landslides, putting lives, homes, and communities at risk. Staying informed and taking early action can save lives.

Protect yourself and your family:
✅ Follow official weather warnings and advisories.
✅ Move to higher ground if flooding is expected.
✅ Stay away from landslide-prone slopes and unstable areas.

Livelihood Field Visit & Monitoring Discussion 🌱🤝

The Sri Lanka Red Cross Society – Nuwara Eliya Branch successfully conducted a Livelihood Field Visit and Monitoring Discussion to review the progress of beneficiaries who received the First installment of the livelihood grant.

The field visit was conducted with the participation of the Assistant Manager – Livelihood Development, the Project Support Officer's from the National Headquarters (NHQ), Branch Staff, and dedicated Active Volunteers.

The team visited beneficiaries Livelihood Activities, monitored the progress of their livelihood activities, discussed achievements and challenges, and provided guidance to ensure the effective utilization of the first installment of the livelihood grant.

This collaborative effort reflects our continued commitment to promoting sustainable livelihoods, strengthening community resilience, and empowering vulnerable families to achieve long-term self-reliance.

Together, we continue to build stronger, more resilient communities. ❤️🤝🌱

First Aid Service at the 131st Annual Feast – Holy Cross Church, Hatton! 🌟

The Sri Lanka Red Cross Society – Nuwara Eliya Branch was honored to provide essential First Aid services during the 131st Annual Feast at Holy Cross Church, Hatton. 🙌⛪❤️

Led by our dedicated Branch First Aiders, together with our committed youth volunteers, the team proudly ensured the safety and well-being of devotees and participants throughout the celebration.

From treating minor injuries to being fully prepared to respond to emergencies, these dedicated volunteers demonstrated that true service begins with compassion, commitment, and a willingness to help others. ❤️🚑
