Post-Mortem / Forensic Autopsy Sampling (Most Common for Full Organ Histology)

After gross examination and dissection of the heart:
Minimum recommended samples (for non-cardiac or routine cases):

Two samples from the left ventricle (anterior and posterior walls), including papillary muscles.
One sample from the interventricular septum (ideally including the AV node / bundle of His region).
One sample from the right ventricular outflow tract.
