We are thrilled to announce that Turning Adversity Into Youth Opportunity (TAIYO) has successfully completed an intensive Youth Power Hub Lesotho incubation programme and has been awarded a 30months grant by UNICEF Lesotho and IOM – UN Migration, co-funded by the European Union, under the Youth Power Hub Lesotho Programme.
Through this project, TAIYO will implement a small-scale youth empowerment initiative in Quthing District, focusing on migration, meaningful youth participation, and creating opportunities for young people to thrive.

As a youth-based organisation, TAIYO is committed to guiding children from the age of 6 and young people to discover their talents, capabilities and potential, and to use them for their personal growth and developmental purposes.

🌍 Migration Focus: empowering young people with knowledge, skills and opportunities to make informed decisions and safely navigate migration-related challenges.
TAIYO believes that young people should not only be beneficiaries of development programmes, but active participants in shaping solutions that affect their lives.

Follow TAIYO Lesotho's WhatsApp channel. As we grow, the need to strengthen our internal systems and broaden our support structures becomes essential for achieving sustainable change.

We are therefore introducing new engagements—Finance Assistant Officer, Children and Social Development Officer, System Integrity Support Officer, General Assistant Officer, and Human Resource & Administration Officer—to enhance our organizational capacity and ensure that every child and youth we serve receives holistic support.

FAO – Matseliso Ntlele will ensure sound financial management and transparency, enabling us to run programs efficiently and attract sustainable funding.

CSDSO – Karabelo Sechefo will directly focus on the developmental needs and welfare of the children, creating programs that respond to their unique social realities.

SISO – Moses Mokoto Phalole will help strengthen our accountability systems, protect organizational values, and ensure consistent service delivery.

GAO – Mokoena Monaheng will provide essential support to operations, helping the entire team function smoothly and respond quickly to community needs.

HRAO – Thembeka Chonelanga will oversee human resources and administration, fostering a supportive work environment and ensuring effective organizational management.

These roles are not just additions—they are strategic investments into the heart of TAIYO’s mission: turning adversity into real opportunity.
