Today we celebrate girls—their strength, their voices, and their futures. 🩸✨
Across 36 countries, girls are showing up, learning, and leading the way in menstrual health.
With access to tools and education, nothing can hold them back. This is what period equity looks like—confidence, dignity, and opportunity for every girl. 💪❤️
Menstrual Health Day (MHD) is an awareness day focusing on breaking stigma, promoting education, and ensuring access to menstrual care for everyone.

AHF Lesotho continues to advance its Freedom From Debt Campaign through strategic engagement with the media fraternity, in partnership with the Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA) Lesotho.

As part of this ongoing advocacy initiative, the campaign seeks to amplify conversations around the impact of unsustainable debt on health systems, social services, and economic development across Africa. By engaging journalists and media practitioners, AHF Lesotho is strengthening public awareness and fostering informed dialogue on the need for debt relief and fair financing solutions that prioritize people's health and well-being.

The media plays a critical role in shaping public discourse and holding decision-makers accountable. Through this collaboration, AHF Lesotho is building momentum for sustained advocacy efforts that highlight how debt burdens can undermine investments in healthcare, education, and other essential public services, ultimately slowing progress toward universal health coverage and sustainable development.

Together, we can champion policies that put people before debt and support a future where nations can invest in the health and prosperity of their people.

🏆 The World Cup ⚽️ has arrived! And now is the perfect time to be your own best goalie by putting on the perfect piece of protection – a condom 😉🔥

🥅 Our "GOOOOOOOOAL!" campaign features a football skin stretched across a condom to remind everyone that condoms are the best way to protect yourself and your partner ❤️ from HIV and other STIs.

📱 So while you're sharing World Cup content on social media, share this with your friends 👥 and don't forget to use a condom!

When countries spend more on debt than on doctors, schools, or food, people pay the price.
Right now:

- Billions of people are affected
- Interest rates are stacked against developing nations
- Trillions of dollars flow out of poorer countries every year

The system is broken—but it can be fixed.
AHF’s Freedom from Debt campaign is pushing for:
✔ A global forum so countries can make fair deals
✔ Debt pauses when health or climate crises hit
✔ A small tax on AI companies to help pay for healthcare, education, and other basic needs
Because everyone deserves a fair chance at a better future.

• 3.4 billion people live in countries that spend more on debt than on health or education.
• Developing nations pay up to 10x higher interest rates.
• About $3 trillion flows from poorer countries to richer ones every year through debt payments and loopholes.
This system isn’t fair—and it’s hurting people.
Our Freedom from Debt campaign is calling for:
✔ A Borrowers’ Forum to give Global South countries a stronger voice
✔ Automatic debt pauses during health and climate crises
✔ A 1% tax on big AI companies to help reduce debt and fund basic needs
Because fair systems help protect people’s dignity and rights.
