🌧️Stay Protected, Rain or Shine!
Just like an umbrella keeps you covered from the rain, condoms help keep you protected from HIV, STIs and unintended pregnancy.
Don’t leave your protection to chance. Make safer choices, use condoms correctly and consistently, and keep the good vibes going!
Rain or shine — protection is always in style.

DAY 2 | FROM STRATEGY TO ACTION!

We didn’t just talk strategy — we turned ideas into action!

Day 2 of the Girls Act & Boys2Men Strategic Planning Workshop was all about taking the priorities identified on Day 1 and transforming them into clear, practical, and measurable actions.

We reflected.
We strengthened our ideas.

We collaborated.
We built action plans.

Working together, participants mapped out key activities, priorities, expected outcomes, and the practical steps needed to bring the Girls Act and Boys2Men strategies to life.

The message was clear: a good strategy is only the beginning — real impact comes through action!

By developing realistic and youth-centred action plans, we are taking another important step towards creating programmes that respond to the real needs and priorities of young people.

Together, we are building a future where young people in Lesotho are healthier, empowered, supported, heard, and actively involved in shaping their own future.

From strategy to action to impact!

🌟 Day 1 of Strategic Planning!

Today marks Day 1 of the Girls Act and Boys to Men Strategic Planning, bringing together Chapters from the North and Central Regions to reflect on progress, identify areas for improvement, and explore new opportunities to strengthen our programmes.

The session is focused on defining clear strategic objectives and key interventions that respond to the needs, priorities, and realities of young people. Through interactive discussions, participants are exploring how to build on existing progress, strengthen implementation, address emerging gaps, and unlock opportunities for greater impact.

This strategic planning process is an important step towards ensuring that Girls Act and Boys to Men remain relevant, responsive, and impactful, while providing a clear framework to guide future programming, partnerships, and interventions.

✨ Together, we are turning insights into priorities, priorities into action, and action into meaningful impact.

🩷 Protect Yourself. Protect Your Partner. Use Condoms.

When Condoms are used correctly and consistently, they help reduce the risk of HIV, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and unintended pregnancy.

Using a condom is a sign of responsibility, respect, and care for yourself and your partner.

Turning Dialogue into Action: Freedom from Debt Initiative Continues 🇱🇸

Last Friday, Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) convened for a follow-up engagement under the Freedom from Debt Initiative, building on previous discussions and focusing on translating commitments into concrete research and advocacy actions around Lesotho’s public debt.

A key outcome of the meeting was the nomination of five representatives who will engage key institutions ,responsible for debt management and oversight.

The research and stakeholder consultations will generate evidence on debt management, accountability, oversight and transparency, providing a stronger foundation for CSO advocacy and constructive engagement with relevant government institutions.

The meeting marks an important step towards strengthening coordinated civil society monitoring of Lesotho’s public debt and promoting greater transparency and accountability in debt-related decisions. 🇱🇸

Your future. Your choice. Your health. 💙

Contraception is about more than preventing pregnancy — it’s about having the information and freedom to make informed choices about if and when you want to have children.

Using contraception can help prevent unintended pregnancies, support healthy timing and spacing of pregnancies, and give individuals and couples greater control over their reproductive health.

Let’s talk openly, break the stigma, and make sure everyone has access to accurate information and the contraceptive options that work best for them.

Know your options. Make informed choices. Protect your future. 🌱

AHF Lesotho Takes Healthcare to Botho University! 🎓❤️

We took comprehensive and accessible healthcare services closer to the university community through a health campaign held at Botho University.

The campaign provided students and staff with an opportunity to access essential health services, including:

🩺 HIV testing and counseling
💊 Family planning services
🔬 STI screening and treatment
🧴 Condom and lubricant distribution
🎗️ Cervical cancer screening

Through initiatives like this, AHF Lesotho continues to promote prevention, early detection, treatment, and informed health choices, while creating opportunities for communities to access quality healthcare services in a safe, convenient, and supportive environment.

We are proud to continue taking healthcare beyond the clinic walls and into communities where it is needed most. Together, we can build a healthier and more informed Lesotho. 🇱🇸

AHF Lesotho had the opportunity to join Thato ea Hao FM’s Reboka Likhomo Campaign in Maputsoe, Ha Nyenye Moreneng, bringing essential health services and information closer to the community. ❤️

Through this outreach, AHF Lesotho provided HIV counselling and testing, HIV prevention services including condoms and PrEP, and health education, empowering community members with the knowledge and tools they need to make informed decisions about their health.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Thato ea Hao FM for the opportunity to be part of this meaningful initiative. Partnerships like these allow us to reach more people, strengthen community health, and advance our commitment to providing quality, accessible and people-centred healthcare for all.
