On Monday we had another beautiful graduation celebration at Hand in Hand! ❤️

This celebration was a reminder of what happens when hope, faith, hard work, and a supportive community come together. We celebrated the incredible accomplishments of our graduates and the new chapters they are stepping into, while also reflecting on the many lives that have been changed through this ministry.

One of the most special parts of the evening was seeing so many previous Hand in Hand graduates come back to share well wishes with David Douglas as he prepares for retirement.

Recovery is possible. Hope is alive. And God is still writing beautiful stories of redemption. ❤️

Hand in Hand Recovery unveiled our new success boards along with Harper Family Charitable Foundation, Inc. They are beautiful and bring attention to the work that goes into recovery.

David Douglas was honored by the Lake County Sheriff's Office - Florida today with a plaque for his retirement. The plaque represents 13 years of Hand in Hand Lake County walking together with LCSO as we serve those wanting recovery. This is a great partnership that makes Lake County a better place to live.

Another Hand in Hand Women’s Potluck in the books, and somehow every time we do this, it just gets bigger and better. ❤️

There’s something really special about watching women from different seasons of this journey come together. Current residents, graduates, women who have moved on and built lives of their own… all sitting around the same tables, eating good food, laughing, catching up, loving on each other and just doing life together.

This is recovery. It’s so much more than simply putting down drugs and alcohol. It’s connection. Community. Friendship. Showing up for one another. Learning how to laugh again. Building relationships that don’t disappear when the program ends.

I looked around today and just felt incredibly grateful. Grateful for every woman who has walked through our doors, grateful for the ones still doing the work, and grateful that somehow God has allowed me to have a front-row seat to so many of their stories.

Every time we get together, there are more faces, more stories, more laughter and more evidence that recovery works.

I’m so grateful I get to do life with these women. ❤️

Last week Hand in Hand had the privilege of presenting to 100 Women Who Care. If you do not know about this organization, you need to check them out. Local non-profits can present their organization with the opportunity to leave with up to $10,000. 100 Women giving $100 each. Brilliant!
Although we did not win this time, we did leave with some gracious donations. We absolutely love 100 Women Who Care.
