If you are linked to a person on social media who works in veterinary medicine you may have noticed them changing their profile picture to include "NOMV" with the Rod of Asclepius.
Some of you may know, but if you don't, NOMV stands for ‘Not One More Vet’, because we have one of the highest su***de rates of any profession. When you see your friend or social media acquaintance change their profile, it's usually because they have learned of another colleague that took their own life.

Be kind to your veterinary staff. From the receptionists and nurses to the kennel assistants and vets. Vets are literally dying trying to help you and your pets. Check in on each other, be kind, and remember that your words and actions really do matter.
And anyone out there struggling, know that my door is always open, my phone is always on and my kettle is always ready...you are NEVER alone.

- Wear the mask throughout the visit;
- Keep a safe distance;

Dear Client

Due to the coronavirus spread in Malta
I decide to stop any clinical activity and anticipate my maternity leave.

I would like to apologize for any inconvenience and thank all my clients for understanding how delicate could be my job as a pregnant women in such a difficult moment.

I would like to thank both my Maltese and Italian colleagues who will carry on with veterinary service.
Kindly remember that would be respectful for everyone to postpone any visit with your pet if is not an emergency.

It’s time for all of us to be responsible and do what we can to reduce the spread of coronavirus as it’s the only way to safe life.
