This Su***de Prevention Awareness Month we wanted to discuss the misconceptions surrounding su***de and those who are suicidal.

Misconceptions often prevent people from recognizing warning signs or offering support to someone going through a deep crisis. If you or someone in your life is struggling, reach out to us https://www.marble-psychology.com/services-individuals.html.

Alternatively, you can find a crisis line at findahelpline.com. It connects people to crisis hotlines by country/region so no matter where you are based there is an option for you.

Not all children respond to pressure the same way.

This post discusses how it commonly manifests. Now that school is back in session we think it is important for parents to be able to identify these signs.

Remember just because your child is getting good grades doesn't mean they're okay.

Back-to-school can bring an extra layer of complexity for Third Culture Kids.

They may be very experienced at adapting to new environments, but that doesn’t mean each transition is easy. Returning to school can bring excitement alongside grief, uncertainty, friendship changes and questions about where they belong.

As parents, we can help by looking beyond how well they appear to be coping and giving them space to have mixed feelings.

Sometimes the most helpful message is simply:

“You don’t have to be completely okay with the change for us to know you can handle it.” 🌍

Shifting back to a regular school routine can be tough after weeks of late nights, endless free time and activity.

Resetting expectations in the household can ease this transition. However, this does not need to strict and rigid. It can be a fun activity for your family if you implement some of these strategies.

Tantrums, defiance, aggression, school refusal, and difficulties following rules are signs that a child is struggling with big emotions or underlying conditions.

These are very common behaviours in third-culture children as they are adapting to new environments and people. The best thing you can do is to support early, consulting with a therapist can help build a plan to address these behaviours.

If you feel like you need extra support for you children, contact us https://www.marble-psychology.com/contact.html

Breastfeeding is often spoken about as something natural. However, that does not mean it is always easy.

For many mothers, breastfeeding can bring closeness, pride, and connection. It can also involve pain, exhaustion, disrupted sleep, anxiety, pressure, guilt, and feelings of inadequacy when feeding does not go as hoped. Without practical help and emotional support, these challenges can have a significant impact on maternal mental health.

During World Breastfeeding Week, we are reminded that supporting breastfeeding means supporting the whole mother...not only how her baby is fed. Mothers need compassionate, informed care, realistic guidance, protected time, and the freedom to make feeding decisions without judgment.

When mothers are listened to, supported, and cared for, both mothers and babies benefit.
