Join us online at CoSP19 for a series of side events exploring the intersection of autism, aging, health, rights, and inclusion.

As more Autistic people reach older adulthood, there is an urgent need to ensure healthcare systems, mental health services, policies, and communities are inclusive, accessible, and grounded in human rights. This event will be held in the UN's Headquarters and will bring together international experts, researchers, policymakers, and lived experience perspectives to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing aging Autistic individuals.

The Ministry for Inclusion and Voluntary Sector joined the High-Level Conference in Limassol, Cyprus, organized by the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU 2026 followed by the Disability Platform meeting to discuss global empowerment and support.
Representing the Ministry, Dr. Alistair de Gaetano presented Malta’s landmark progress on Legal Capacity. These newly enacted laws are a major step forward, aligning our national legislation with Article 12 of the UNCRPD.
The goal? Moving from substituted to supported decision-making, ensuring autonomy and dignity for persons with disabilities

CRPD and DDI are hosting two online ACTIVATE stakeholder workshops (co-funded by Erasmus+) focused on improving inclusion in employment and healthcare.

Led by an Autistic host, these workshops will bridge the gap between Autistic persons and key stakeholders from the employment and healthcare sectors to discuss real experiences and pave the way for more neuro-affirmative changes.
