"MAYBE RUNNING OR THE GYM ISN'T FOR YOU AND THAT'S OK"

Many people struggle to stay active simply because they haven’t found an activity they truly enjoy.

The important thing to remember is that you don’t have to follow what others like; physical activity comes in many forms!💪

“I’ve seen physiotherapy exercises online, I've even asked AI."

Yes definitely you will be given a whole list of exercises, some may be valid other less so.

But here’s the truth — there’s no such thing as a ‘Physiotherapy Exercise.’ There are only exercises prescribed by a Physiotherapist after a proper assessment.

Why does this matter?

A Physiotherapist is trained in the body’s mechanics and will choose exercises specific to your needs — your injury, your age, your fitness level, and your overall health.

They will guide you through each exercise to ensure it’s suitable for you, and that you’re performing it properly and safely.

They will prescribe the frequency and amount of exercise that are tailored specifically to you.

A Physiotherapist will choose practical exercises.

What works for someone else (or what you find online) might not be right for you — and could even make things worse.

Get assessed. Get it right. Move better.

Had some great 'older' (ta' żmienna) music playing on the way to work this morning, and it got me thinking.

Great music ages well and stands the test of time. So does movement.

Our body is designed to move, and whether you're 18 or 80, staying active remains one of the best investments you can make in your health.

Does posture matter?

Of course it does.

It makes the difference between a system that is efficient and one that is not.

One that is less prone to injury or not.

Good posture reduces the possibility of aches and pains developing. It promotes good movement and a better quality of life.

That is why posture is considered during assessment.

An efficient body is a healthy one.

Tennis Elbow:

Seeing a lot of this lately. Does it really come from tennis?

Despite the name, most people with tennis elbow have never picked up a tennis racket, and is usually caused by repetitive gripping, lifting, typing, DIY work, gardening, or any activity that overloads the forearm muscles and tendons.

Common symptoms include:

Pain on the outside of the elbow
Discomfort when gripping or lifting objects
Reduced strength in the hand and forearm

The good news?

With the right treatment and exercises, most people can return to their normal activities without ongoing pain.

Better support. Better movement.

Training in the heat can put extra stress on your body.

Stay hydrated before, during, and after exercise, wear light breathable clothing, and listen to your body if you start feeling dizzy or unusually fatigued.

Gradually building tolerance to hotter conditions can help you train more safely and perform better
