International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction | 13th October

On this day let’s remember that safety begins where we live.

This year’s theme,”Resilience Starts at Home”, highlights the vital role that safe homes, preparedness, and informed households play in reducing disaster risk. A home is more than a building, it is where we care for our families, protect our health, and build our communities.

By understanding the risks around us, preparing for emergencies, and ensuring that everyone has access to the knowledge and resources needed to stay safe, we can strengthen resilience from the household to the wider community.

Because when homes are safer, communities are stronger

Dear Pride,

Thank you for teaching us that..
Being yourself is something to be celebrated
There’s not just one way to love
Speaking up can bring positive change
Visibility matters
Everyone deserves a safe space where they can feel accepted and loved.

Thank you for being you!
