Made in Light Exhibition 🖌️

What a wonderful way to celebrate the end of the Made in Light project! 🎨

The exhibition showcased the Sharing Lives members’ artworks, photographs, and shadow play performances, highlighting their unique talents, perspectives, and experiences.

Participants were delighted to see their work on display and to share their creative journeys with family, friends, and the wider community.

This European Solidarity Corps (ESC) project helped participants build confidence, strengthen connections, and discover new ways to express themselves creatively. The pride, joy, and sense of achievement shared during the exhibition made it a truly special event.

SkillUp service users currently attending Way to Work Programme sessions, recently took part in a series of workshops aimed at developing essential digital skills, including internet safety, email, Microsoft Office applications, and online job searching. 💻

During these sessions they also took part in a session with FITA Malta , learning how to use GPS to navigate their way to their workplace and become familiar with their surroundings. The session equipped participants with practical skills to support their journey into employment.

Il-Ministru Julia Farrugia, fimkien mal-Kap Eżekuttiv Oliver Scicluna u membri tal-maniġment tal-Aġenzija, attendiet u pparteċipat f’sessjoni ta’ għarfien dwar il-Lingwa tas-Sinjali Maltija li qed titwassal lill-impjegatita’ Aġenzija Sapport.

Is-sessjoni ffukat fuq il-kultura tad-Deaf u l-importanza ta’ komunikazzjoni effettiva ma’ persuni neqsin mis-smigħ. Il-parteċipanti ngħataw tagħrif dwar kif jistgħu jippromwovu aktar inklużjoni fl-iskejjel, fil-postijiet tax-xogħol u fil-komunità, filwaqt li ġew introdotti wkoll għal termini bażiċi bil-Lingwa tas-Sinjali Maltija permezz ta’ element prattiku.

Din l-inizjattiva tifforma parti mill-ħidma kontinwa tal-Aġenzija biex tkompli żżid l-għarfien dwar il-bżonnijiet tal-persuni neqsin mis-smigħ u tħeġġeġ ambjent aktar aċċessibbli u inklużiv għal kulħadd, waqt li tiżdied l-aċċessibilità.
