We’ve all heard this classic after an extraction:
“Dentiste la inn poz so genou lor moi pou ras mo ledent!”

Funny as it sounds, what patients usually feel during an extraction is pressure, not pain - and definitely not a knee on the chest.

During some extractions, especially when teeth are firmly anchored, controlled force and pressure are necessary to loosen the tooth safely. This pressure can sometimes feel intense, especially when you’re anxious or unable to see what’s happening.

What you may feel:
✔️ Pressure
✔️ Movement
✔️ Vibration

What you should not feel:
❌ Sharp pain

Good communication matters. If something feels uncomfortable during treatment, always let your dentist know.
