Winter is here... is your immune system ready? ๐Ÿ’™

With the colder weather settling in, your body needs extra care to stay healthy and fight off seasonal infections. One of the most powerful ways to support your immune system is through the food you eat every day.

Fill your plate with nourishing foods such as colourful vegetables, seasonal fruits, garlic, ginger, turmeric, nuts, seeds, eggs, oily fish and warm, comforting fluids. Small daily choices can make a big difference to your health this winter.

โœจ Don't wait until you get sick to start looking after your healthโ€”begin nourishing your body today.

At Wellthy Hub, we believe wellbeing is broader than that.

A sense of safety is one of the foundations of wellbeing. It is difficult to feel at ease, pursue our goals or fully thrive when we feel vulnerable or unsafe.

This is why the 2nd session of our Wellbeing Now Series focused on Self-Defence Fundamentals for Women.

Facilitated by Ramon Jutliah from Self Defence Krav Maga Mauritius, the session explored practical aspects of personal safety, including awareness, recognising warning signs, setting boundaries and responding appropriately in challenging situations.

What made the session particularly meaningful was the level of engagement from participants. The many questions and discussions throughout the morning reflected a genuine desire to better understand how to navigate difficult situations with greater confidence.

At Wellthy Hub, we believe that wellbeing is strengthened when people have access to practical knowledge, expert guidance and opportunities for meaningful learning.

Our sincere thanks to Ramon and to all participants for contributing to such a thoughtful and engaging session.

PMOS continues to affect the health and wellbeing of many women, yet it remains widely misunderstood.

I recently shared my perspectives on the condition with *Le Dimanche / L'Hebdo*, including the important role that nutrition and lifestyle interventions can play in its management.

PMOS is not simply a fertility issue. It is a complex hormonal and metabolic condition that can influence insulin sensitivity, inflammation, weight management, energy levels, mood, menstrual health and overall wellbeing.

One of the most important messages I wish to share is that PMOS can be managed.
While every woman is different and there is no universal solution, evidence based nutrition, appropriate lifestyle adjustments and personalised professional guidance can significantly improve symptoms and quality of life.

Over the past months, I have also been working with Wellthy Hub to raise awareness and improve understanding of PMOS through educational content and the Wellbeing Now series, creating opportunities for women to access practical, credible and compassionate information.

If you are living with PMOS, struggling with hormonal imbalances, insulin resistance, weight management challenges or other women's health concerns, know that support is available and that meaningful improvements are possible.

Insights from our first session of the Wellbeing Now series โœจ

Our chosen theme was:

โ€œPMOS: Understand it to Better Manage itโ€

The session highlighted how nutrition and lifestyle c an serve as powerful tools in managing PMOS symptoms and improving overall wellbeing.

We discussed the importance of:
โœ”๏ธBalanced nutrition
โœ”๏ธ Foods for hormonal balance
โœ”๏ธ Healthy lifestyle habits
โœ”๏ธ Stress management
โœ”๏ธ Quality sleep
โœ”๏ธ Adapted physical activity

Together, these approaches can contribute significantly towards the near-remission of PMOS symptoms and help women regain control of their health and quality of life.

It was an enriching moment of learning, sharing, and empowerment for all the women present ๐ŸŒธ

I am truly grateful for the quality of the discussions during Sundayโ€™s first Wellbeing Now session on PCOS/PMOS.

The session was planned for 2 hours but naturally extended to nearly 3 hours because the participants were highly engaged and asked many thoughtful questions throughout the morning.

Seeing women genuinely trying to better understand their bodies, symptoms and daily habits reminded me how important these conversations are.

PMOS affects much more than weight or hormones alone, and many women simply need clearer guidance, practical advice and a space where they feel heard.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the discussions ๐Ÿ’œ.

Last week, a condition affecting 1 in 10 women of reproductive age was officially renamed.
Polycystic O***y Syndrome โ€” PCOS โ€” is now Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome, or PMOS.

The name change, published in The Lancet, followed an unprecedented global consensus process involving 56 leading academic, clinical, and patient organisations.

It is more than a rebrand. It recognises that the condition is not primarily a gynaecological disorder, but a complex, multisystem condition involving endocrine, metabolic, reproductive, and psychological health.
