psiCONSULT was set up to provide professional, confidential and reliable services to clients within the neuropsychological and psychological fields in Mauritius. Clients/patients who would self-refer or are referred - liaison with referring parties always applied - for neuropsychological assessments (and remediation interventions when feasible) include those seeking:
-cognitive profiling and (dif
ferential) diagnosis of neurocognitive disorders (e.g. Alzheimer's disease; Lewy body disease; Fronto-temporal lobar degeneration; dementia; etc.)
-individuals with suspected or established functional/cognitive deficits (e.g. traumatic brain injury during a car accident or physical assault; etc.)
-children with suspected learning disabilities (e.g. dyslexia; dyscalculia; visual perceptual/visual motor deficit; etc.)

Techniques regularly used include Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Counselling. Consults are conducted in French, English or Creole although testing is not carried out in creole). After-hours consults are also available.
