Mental Health Federation Mauritius The Mental Health Federation Mauritius is a voluntary NGO that aims to promote positive mental health and eliminate the stigma attached to mental health.

Founded in 2002 and registered with the registrar of Associations since October 2005. There are currently 12 associations which are Members and are affiliated to the Mental Health Federation. Our main objectives are :
1) To promote the welfare of the mentally ill persons.
2) To protect the rights of the mentally ill and their families, and to ensure that they are treated humanely and with dignity

3) To organize educational and awareness programs with a view to eliminate the stigma attached to mental illness.
4) To organize social activities for the benefit of one and all.
5) To do all such acts that are conducive to the attainment of the above objectives
