Sometimes the heart doesn’t return to the past because it wants to stay there.

It returns because something precious was left behind.

Yesterday, I felt a beloved facilitant in her fifties whose inner lover was still 16 years old.

She had never truly stopped being sixteen.

Time had moved forward..Her nervous system had not.

Her first love lived close to her childhood home.

Years passed..Life unfolded.
And then, after returning to the very home where so much of her story had begun, she learned that he had passed away.

His death did not simply bring grief.
It awakened a frozen timeline.

A younger self..
A love that had never been allowed to fully exist.
A relationship that had never been allowed to complete.

As we gently entered that inner landscape together, it became clear that what had remained frozen was not only her love for him.

It was her innocence.
Her tenderness.
Her longing.
Her right to love.
Her right to grieve.

As a teenager, the emotional depth of her heart had no place to land.

Rather than being met, blessed, & gently initiated into the sacred threshold of first love, she was asked to sacrifice it.

To sacrifice her feelings..her innocence..
To sacrifice the one she loved..

Again and again, the message became clear:
"Do not become this woman."

And so, her inner lover learned to disappear.

Not because she stopped loving.
Because loving had become unsafe.

What touched me most wasn't simply meeting her inner lover.

It was meeting the inner mother she had spent a lifetime searching for.

So many of our inner teenagers aren't asking for permission to fall in love.

They are longing for something even more ancient.

A sacred initiation.

A mother, just like Radha who kneels beside them & says,

"Your love is sacred."

When that initiation is absent, the nervous system often remains waiting..

Waiting for someone to bless the heart.
Waiting for someone to witness the innocence that never deserved to be hidden.

Waiting for someone to say,
"You never had to sacrifice yourself to belong."

Perhaps one of the most beautiful moments in healing is discovering that the mother we searched for outside of ourselves is slowly being born within us.

There are wounds that aren't created through a single moment of pain.

They are created through thousands of moments where the body quietly learns:

"There is no room for me here."

"If I am fully myself, I will lose belonging."

"If someone must disappear, let it be me."

Over time, this doesn't simply become a belief.
It becomes biology.

The nervous system begins organizing itself around one sacred mission:

Survive.

For some, survival didn’t mean fighting.
It didn't mean fleeing.
It meant slowly abandoning themselves.

Silencing their truth.
Suppressing their needs.
Bearing what was unbearable.
Accepting what should never have been theirs to carry.

Remaining loyal to relationships that required them to disappear.

This is one of the most heartbreaking legacies of developmental trauma..not that we stop loving ourselves.

But that our nervous system learns that loving ourselves may cost us love from those we depend upon.

And so, a quiet tragedy unfolds.
Not the death of the body.

But the gradual surrender of the authentic self.

A kind of living su***de.
Not chosen.

Adapted.

The child does not arrive in this world wanting to betray herself.

She simply discovers that sacrificing pieces of herself keeps the family system intact.

That staying silent keeps the peace.
That enduring pain keeps connection alive.
That powerlessness feels safer than risking abandonment.

Years later, the world often mirrors what the nervous system already knows.

Workplaces..Relationships..Communities.

Spaces that once again ask:
"Can you abandon yourself for us?"
"Can you carry what belongs to everyone else?"
"Can you stay despite what it costs you?"

And the body recognises the invitation immediately.
Not because it desires suffering.

Because it has rehearsed survival for decades.

This is why healing cannot begin with telling someone to "just set boundaries."

The body must first discover something it has never truly known.

That it is safe to exist without disappearing.

Safe to have needs.
Safe to take up space.
Safe to disappoint expectations that were built upon self-abandonment.

Safe to remain connected without sacrificing the soul.

One of the deepest misconceptions we carry is that healing should happen when the event happens.

But the nervous system has a different wisdom.
It does not measure time by calendars.

It measures time by safety.

Sometimes a heartbreak does not fully break our hearts in the moment..not because it wasn't painful.

But because feeling all of it at once would have shattered the very system trying to survive.

Recently, I witnessed a woman gently meeting a grief her body had been carrying for seven years.

An engagement that ended with a phone call.

No shared space.
No final embrace.

No opportunity to ask the questions that remained alive inside her.

No place where two nervous systems could sit together and honour the ending of something that had once held so much life.

There was simply an announcement.

A decision.
A reality she found herself having to absorb.

What touched me most was recognising how her body had received those words.

Almost as though they were the word of God.
Absolute.
Final.
Untouchable.
Not something to question.
Not something to bring into relationship.

Only something to bear.
And so her nervous system did something profoundly intelligent.

It braced..it contained..went into protection...It postponed.

Not because the grief disappeared.
But because the body knew there was no safe place for it to land.

Years later, within the beauty and safety of spaceholding, something beautiful began to unfold.

The grief did not suddenly appear.

It was finally given Permission..

Permission to have weight..
Permission to have tears..
Permission to have a witness.

This is why I hold such reverence for nervous system work.

Healing is not forcing ourselves to "move on."

It is allowing the body to complete what it once had to interrupt in order to survive.

Sometimes the tears we cry today do not belong only to today..

They are tears that have been patiently waiting for enough safety to finally fall.

There is no failure in grieving years later.

It arrives the moment the body believes it no longer has to carry the unbearable by itself.

When Grief finally feels safe..and held.🤍

I witnessed a woman's nervous system beginning to loosen its grip on a story it had carried for so long..

There are moments in session space where we realise the struggle was never about the thing itself.

It was never about driving..never about the car..never about the road.

It was about a nervous system that had learned, over years of repeated experience, that stepping into her own power as a woman came with the risk of losing belonging.

Every time she reached towards her own autonomy, she was met with voices that quietly, repeatedly, told her:
"That isn't for you."
"Leave it to the men."
"You won't be able to do it."
"Take a cab."

What should have been a sacred initiation..a father placing the keys into his daughter's hands and saying, "I believe in you" became the very opposite.

An initiation into self-doubt..Into dependence..Into inherited limitation.

So the nervous system did what nervous systems have always done so beautifully.

It adapted.
Not because she was incapable.
Because adaptation became the price of connection.

Her body learned that staying small was safer than risking the loss of love.

That disempowerment was more survivable than rejection.

Years later, when my facilitant's husband lovingly offered her his car keys, something extraordinary happened.

The body did not respond to the present.

It remembered the past.
The shaking.
The freezing.
The overwhelming sense of doom.

None of these were signs that something was wrong with her.
They were evidence that her nervous system had faithfully preserved an unfinished story.

A story that had never been given enough safety to complete.

This is why I hold such reverence for nervous system work.
Because beneath so many of the places where we feel "stuck" is not a lack of mindset.. a lack of discipline..a lack of manifestation.

It is often an intelligent nervous system protecting a younger self who once had to trade authenticity for attachment.
So often we are taught to think our way beyond our fears.

To become a newer version of ourselves while the body quietly continues carrying the older story.

But what remains unseen does not disappear.
The nervous system cannot be coerced into safety💥

It feels deeply symbolic that the journey comes to Mother Kamakhya as sacred culmination of the Ashadha Gupt Navratri.

After descending through the hidden chambers of the psyche, the heart, the void, creativity, and embodied divinity...the final invitation is not upward.

It is inward.

Home.

Beloved Daughter,
Come.

You have wandered through many temples.
You have searched for me in mountains, in rivers, in prayers, in lovers, in teachers, and in the stars.
Yet all along...

I have been waiting within the first temple you were ever given.

Your womb.

I am Kamakhya.
The Mother whose altar is not built by human hands.
The Mother who remembers that every woman was born carrying a sacred sanctuary within her own body.

Beloved,
How long have you lived above your own life?
How long have you made your home only in your thoughts?
How long have you abandoned the wisdom that has been breathing beneath your navel?

This is not your failure.
It is the inheritance of generations who forgot that the womb was never merely a place of physical creation.

It is a place of remembrance.

Of intuition.
Of belonging.
Of deep inner knowing.

The world does not need more women who have learned to leave themselves.
It longs for women who have come home.
Women whose roots reach deep into their own bodies.

Women whose softness is strength.
Women whose vulnerability is wisdom.
Women who remember that the sacred feminine is not an idea to admire...but a life to inhabit.

Come into My womb.

Not to disappear.
But to remember.

For as you return to the Great Mother's womb...
you also return to your own.

And as you reclaim your relationship with your own womb...
you remember that you have never been separate from Mine.❤️

Every Aspect of Mother this Navratri has gently led her daughters back to one place:

The body.

Not as something to transcend...but as the sacred temple through which the Divine chooses to be experienced.

Beloved Daughter,

I am Kamalā.
The Mother who blooms not because life has been without mud...but because she has learned that even the deepest waters can nourish beauty.

You have journeyed through the hidden temple.
You have met your avoidance.
You have entered the sacred waters.
You have reclaimed your desire.
You have returned to your heart.

You have trembled before fear.
You have surrendered what could no longer remain.
You have rested within the sacred void.
You have remembered your creative power.

Now...
come home.
Into your body.

Beloved,
Your body is not the place where your spirituality ends.
It is the place where it becomes visible.

Every breath.
Every tear.
Every laugh.
Every longing.
Every heartbeat.
Every trembling.
Every embrace.
Every goodbye.

This is where the Divine chooses to live.

Do not reject your humanity. It is not separate from your divinity.

Your humanity is your capacity to feel.

To grieve.
To love.
To ache.
To hope.
To be touched by life.
To allow your heart to remain open even after it has broken.

Your vulnerability is not evidence that you are less Divine.

It is evidence that you are fully alive.

And your divinity is not escape.
It is remembrance.

The quiet knowing that before this lifetime...

Your soul whispered,

"Yes."
Yes to growth.
Yes to love.
Yes to uncertainty.
Yes to endings.
Yes to beginnings.
Yes to every sacred initiation that would awaken the fullness of who you are.

Beloved Daughter,
There comes a moment when the question changes.
"Why is this happening to me?"
But,
"How shall I meet this with the fullness of who I am?"

This is not the abandonment of compassion but remembrance of your participation.

You are not merely watching life unfold.

You are living it.
Creating with it.
Responding to it.
Dancing with it.

The lotus does not deny the waters from which she rose.
She honors them.
She transforms them.

Feel your body as the living temple through which the Infinite has chosen to experience itself.❤

Today feels like the temple doors opening from the innermost sanctuary into the world.
After Mother Baglamukhī gathered us into our sacred center...
Mother Mātaṅgī now asks:

"From this centered place... what will you create?"

She is the Mother of embodied expression, sacred creativity, and conscious co-creation.

She reminds us that creation is not only what we make with our hands—it is also what we cultivate through our thoughts, our words, our relationships, our presence, and the way we meet each day.

Beloved Daughter,
Come.
Bring your voice.
Bring the dreams you have hidden beneath the fear of being seen.
Bring the songs that remained unsung.
Bring the words that remained unspoken.
Bring the gifts you quietly convinced yourself were too small to matter.

I am Mātaṅgī.
The Mother who does not merely inspire creation.
I initiate you into becoming a conscious creator.

Many long to create.
Few are willing to become spacious enough to hold what they create.

Can you hold your own brilliance?
Can you hold your own visibility?
Can you hold your own joy without shrinking it?
Can you hold the love you have prayed for?
Can you hold the life that longs to bloom through you?

Beloved,
Creation is not only conception.
It is devotion.

To create is to remain present long after inspiration has arrived.

It is to nurture.
To tend.
To protect.
To allow what is growing to unfold in its own season.

Today I ask you to look gently at your life.
Not with judgment but with curiosity.

Ask yourself,
"What am I creating through the way I meet this moment?"
"What stories am I feeding?"
"What possibilities am I making room for?"

For every creation begins first as an inner field.
And the field you cultivate within becomes the world you participate in without.

You do not create alone.
You are always in relationship..with the Divine..with Life..with those who walk beside you.

Co-creation is not about controlling the outcome.
It is about bringing your truest presence to what is being born between you.

When you create from fear...
Fear echoes.
When you create from love...
Love expands.
When you create from remembrance...
your creations carry the fragrance of your soul.

Today feels like the still point at the center of the storm.

Many know Mother Baglamukhī as the one who stills. Yet her deeper medicine is not simply silencing the outer world—it is awakening the place within us that cannot be pulled away from itself, even when everything around us is changing.

Beloved Daughter,

Come.
You have walked through fire.
You have descended into the waters.
You have trembled before fear.
You have grieved what has ended.

Now...
Come into the center.
Not the center that exists because life has become peaceful.
The center that remains even when life is not.

I am Baglamukhī.
The Mother who does not stop the storm.
I teach you how to remain rooted within it.

Tell me...
How often have your words been carried by your fear before they were carried by your truth?

How often have your needs been spoken from urgency rather than presence?

How often have you abandoned your own center while trying to be understood?

Beloved,
Your voice is sacred.
Your longing is sacred.
Your frustrations are sacred.
Your boundaries are sacred.

But they become their clearest expression when they arise from a heart that has first returned home to itself.

The feminine does not become powerful because she never shakes.
She becomes powerful because she remembers where to return when she does.

This is your Sacred Center.

From here...
your "yes" does not grasp.
Your "no" does not wound.
Your tears do not drown you.
Your anger does not consume you.
Your love does not abandon you.

Everything becomes rooted in presence.

There will always be uncertainty.
There will always be moments when old worlds collapse.

Do not wait for life to become still.
Become intimate with the stillness that already lives within you.

When you speak from your center...your words carry less force and more truth.
When you ask for what you need from your center...you are no longer asking another to complete you.

You are inviting them to meet you where you already stand.

When you express your disappointment from your center...it becomes revelation, not retaliation.

When you reveal your desire from your center...
it becomes devotion, not demand.

This is the initiation I offer you today.❤️

Beloved Daughter,

Many celebrate Pārvatī.

Few are willing to walk the road that brought her there.

Many long for sacred union.
Few are willing to surrender the self that could never receive it.

You know me as,

Pārvatī.

Mountain Daughter.
Queen.
Beloved of Shiva.
Embodiment of steadfast love.

But before I became the woman who could stand beside Shiva...

I was Sati.

Sati loved..She devoted..She gave..She burned.

Not only in the sacred fire.

But in every place where she forgot that love could never ask her to abandon herself.

She is the daughter aspect who carried the longing to belong.
She is every place within us that believed love required self-sacrifice.
She is every woman who mistook endurance for devotion.

And when Sati entered the fire...it was not the end of the feminine.

It was the end of an identity.

Who sat beside those ashes?
Who remained when everything familiar had fallen away?

The Ancient One..The Crone..The Silent Midwife,
Mother Dhumāvatī..

She did not rush the rebirth.

She did not whisper,
"Become Pārvatī quickly."

She simply held what had ended.
She guarded the sacred emptiness.
She became the Death Doula of the daughter who no longer knew who she was.

Beloved,
Every Pārvatī must first be held by Dhumāvatī.
Every Queen must first be accompanied through the wilderness by the Wise Woman.
Every sacred union must first be preceded by a sacred unbecoming.

Today, as we honour Pārvatī...
Honour Sati too..

Bow to the daughter aspect within who loved with everything she knew.

Bow to the Inner Crone who refused to rush her becoming.

Bow to the Inner Queen who emerged not from perfection...but from remembrance.

This is the hidden initiation of the sacred feminine.

Not becoming someone else..but allowing every false layer to fall away,
until the woman who stands before the Beloved...
is no longer the one who seeks completion.

She is the one who has become her own sacred home.

21/07/2026

Today, the temple grows silent..not because Divine Mother has withdrawn...
but because Mother Dhumāvatī speaks in a language that only stillness can hear.

She does not rush to fill the emptiness.
She sits beside it.

She is the Crone, the Wise Woman, the Sacred Death Doula who does not rescue us from grief, but lovingly accompanies us through it.

Beloved Daughter,
Come.

You do not need to bring your strength today.

Bring your emptiness.
Bring your unanswered prayers.
Bring the places where life feels barren.
Bring the loneliness you have hidden even from yourself.
Bring the grief that has waited patiently for someone to finally sit beside it.

I am Dhumāvatī.

The Ancient Mother.
The Crone.
The Keeper of Sacred Endings.
The One who accompanies souls through every death that life asks them to live.

Do not fear this quiet place.
It has frightened you only because you believed it was where love disappeared.

But look again.
I have been here all along.

Waiting.

Not to take anything from you.
But to ensure that nothing sacred dies alone.

Beloved,
You have grieved many things you never allowed yourself to name.

The life that did not unfold.
The love that could not remain.
The versions of yourself that survival required you to leave behind.

The innocence that ended too soon.
The dreams that quietly dissolved.
The home you searched for outside yourself.

You carried them without ceremony.

Without witness.
Without farewell.

Today...

We give them a sacred burial.

Not to forget them.
But to honor that they lived.

You have feared the void.
You have feared the barren places within.
You have feared the silence that follows loss.

Yet what if...
the void is not punishment?

What if it is the womb where everything that has completed is laid gently to rest?

Grief is not proof that something went wrong.

It is evidence that you loved.

That you hoped.
That you opened.
That your heart remained alive.

Do not apologize for mourning.

The soul knows the holiness of farewell as a sacred rites of passage. 🤍
