Botany meets artistry. 🌿
These intricate spheres are the pollen grains of a Sonchus plant (daisy family), nestled among its leaves. Alain Tonetti of Aix-Marseille Université in France captured the image using scanning electron microscopy and Patrice Bal colorized it.
Their spiny surface reveals how they cling and travel — a structure hidden at the human scale. 🔬
