If you’ve been following Suthirthan’s journey, this is the update you’ve been waiting for. 🔥

Suthirthan, from Canada 🇨🇦, arrived at Verita Neuro in Mexico 🇲🇽 in February 2026 with a C4 complete spinal cord injury, having lost movement and sensation from the shoulders down following a diving accident in Jamaica in August 2023.

As a quadriplegic, he qualified for double Epidural Stimulators to support both upper and lower body function.

After 7 weeks of mapping sessions and structured neurorehabilitation, here is what improved:

⚡ Voluntary activation emerging in both upper and lower body
💪 Improved strength and control in shoulders, biceps, and wrists
✋ Increased grip strength and hand function
🧍 Better trunk stability in sitting and supported standing

These were not sudden changes, but steady, measurable gains built through consistent daily work.

His program is now completed. He is back home in Canada, with increased arm strength and mobility to support what matters most in his daily life. 🤍

After undergoing Epidural Stimulation and Neurorestorative Treatment at Verita Neuro in Thailand 🇹🇭, Saied from Canada 🇨🇦 continues to show meaningful progress.

Saied sustained a C6–C7 Spinal Cord Injury that resulted in incomplete quadriplegia and complete paraplegia. His goals remain clear: to improve lower body movement, control, and endurance, work toward walking again, and restore bladder control.

After several weeks of treatment, these are his observed improvements:

⚡ Improved breathing and cardiovascular control, helping create smoother movement during exercise
🦵 Stronger leg activation, with improved kicking control in both legs
🚶 Walking practice with assistive devices, both overground and on the treadmill, with improving control
🧍 Improved standing confidence and awareness of weight-bearing
⚖️ Improved sitting balance and trunk control, supporting more functional movement
💪 Reduced spasms, with Saied reporting that his legs feel lighter after exercise

A meaningful milestone for Saied was standing again after a long time, something he found highly encouraging.

Remember Alhasnat from the USA 🇺🇸? Through remarkable endurance and commitment, his progress continues to exceed expectations.

Before treatment, he was partially paralyzed from the waist down, wheelchair-bound, with limited ability to walk using a walker.

He underwent Epidural Stimulation at Verita Neuro in Thailand 🇹🇭 and later returned for remapping to further optimize his stimulation program as his condition progressed.

After months of Physical Therapy, these are his observed improvements:

⚡ Smoother gait pattern with better control
🦵 Improved knee flexion and ground clearance
🚶 Reduced compensatory movement during walking
🩼 Walking up to 25 meters using forearm crutches
 💪 Noticeable reduction in spasticity

His ability to climb stairs has also improved, with more fluid and controlled movement when ascending. He continues to build strength, control, and stability through ongoing treatment.

Meet Saied from Canada 🇨🇦.

In 2024, he sustained a serious injury after a fall from a 4-foot-high scaffold at his job site. He underwent cervical spine decompression and fusion from C6 to T2 on the same day, followed by three months of rehabilitation.

He was later diagnosed with a C6–C7 Spinal Cord Injury, resulting in incomplete quadriplegia and complete paraplegia, along with autonomic dysreflexia.

Saied is currently undergoing treatment at Verita Neuro in Thailand 🇹🇭 with Epidural Stimulation combined with regenerative treatment, alongside a structured program focused on rebuilding strength, mobility, and functional control.

His goal remains clear: to regain the ability to walk and restore control of his bladder.

Leonardo from Canada 🇨🇦 came to Verita Neuro in Mexico 🇲🇽 following a T8–T9 Complete Spinal Cord Injury, resulting in paraplegia.

After 5 weeks of treatment, including Epidural Stimulation, Stem Cell Treatment, Mapping Sessions, and Structured Neurorehabilitation focused on lower limb activation, trunk control, and balance, these are his observed improvements:

⚡ Voluntary muscle function observed in his lower body
🦵 Improved leg muscle engagement
🧍 Improved trunk control in sitting and standing positions
🚶 Increased standing and stepping ability using parallel bars
💺 More stable seated posture with improved core strength

Progress developed step by step through consistent therapy and daily effort.
Leonardo continues his rehabilitation journey with improved strength, control, and mobility.

You may remember Mevy from Switzerland 🇨🇭, who came to Verita Neuro in Thailand 🇹🇭 for Epidural Stimulation treatment last year.

Mevy sustained a complete C6–C7 Spinal Cord Injury, resulting in quadriplegia. Before treatment, she was unable to move or walk with her legs. After continuing her rehabilitation at home, she returned to Verita Neuro in Thailand 🇹🇭 for remapping to further optimize her stimulation program and continue progressing toward her goals.

Her goal has remained clear: to stand on her own feet again and, if possible, take steps independently. After remapping and several weeks of Physical Therapy, Mevy has shown the following improvements:

⚡ Increased sensory response in both legs when the stimulation program is active
🧍 Able to pull herself from the wheelchair into standing using a walker with minimal assistance
🚶 Walking longer distances, reaching around 70–100 steps per session
📈 Reaching a maximum of 180 steps in one round, with a current daily total of more than 400 steps
🦵 Improved knee locking and posture during walking practice
💪 Improved endurance during gait training
⚖️ Improved sitting balance and confidence without hand support
🩼 Beginning standing practice using crutches with therapist assistance

Mevy is encouraged by her increasing walking distance, along with improvements in posture, balance, and confidence throughout her training.

Oleg from the United States 🇺🇸 is has been having treatment at Verita Neuro in Thailand 🇹🇭 following a T8–T9 complete spinal cord injury sustained in January 2024. He experienced complete loss of movement and sensation in his lower limbs. His goal is to walk independently without assistive devices.

He is undergoing treatment with Epidural Stimulation treatment alongside a structured neurorehabilitation program focused on rebuilding his strength, mobility, and control. Here are some of his improvements:

⚡ Emerging sensory changes, including tingling at the ankles
🧠 At times, he is beginning to feel like he can control his legs during walking
🦵 Active leg movement during supported walking
🧍 Ability to stand with knees fully extended for up to 3 minutes
🚶 Walking with a Pacer for around 20 steps independently
🔁 Increased endurance, progressing from 10 to 20 repetitions per set, with shorter recovery time between sessions
🪑 Improved sitting balance and trunk control

With stimulation active during therapy:
💪 Hip muscles are now able to move the legs against gravity
🏋️ Knee muscles are strong enough to move against gravity and handle moderate resistance

Oleg is currently working toward walking with reduced body weight support, progressing step by step within a structured 4-week goal. The observations also shows an increase in spasms, which can be a positive neurological sign as the body begins to reconnect.

His current challenges include inconsistent knee extension while walking, and the need for continued support. His progress remains measurable and ongoing.

What matters most to Oleg is being able to practice walking again and move his legs independently during exercise.

You may remember Dariush, a quadriplegic from Canada 🇨🇦 who sustained a C6–C7 incomplete spinal cord injury following a diving accident in 2024. He has returned to Verita Neuro in Mexico 🇲🇽 for a 2-week remapping program.

Since his last visit, Dariush shared that he did not have the level of support needed back home to continue working consistently on his program. This return to Verita Neuro focused on remapping his Epidural Stimulator and helping him improve how he uses and controls it in daily life.

Remapping is an important part of the recovery journey. As the spinal cord adapts and more functional communication becomes possible within the nervous system, the device is fine-tuned to support these changes.

03/05/2026

Meet Leonardo from Canada 🇨🇦. In September 2025, a gunshot injury changed everything. He sustained a T8–T9 complete spinal cord injury and is now paraplegic.

Six months after his injury, he has arrived here at Verita Neuro in Mexico 🇲🇽 with his wife, and the goal is to get stronger and walk again.

He is undergoing Epidural Stimulation and Stem Cell treatment alongside a structured neurorehabilitation program focused on rebuilding strength, trunk control, and lower limb activation. This combined treatment approach is designed to reawaken the nervous system and support recovery.
