Sometimes your Ancestors & Spirit Guides will keep whispering until you finally become still enough to listen.

They may be calling you away from the noise, the overworking, and the weight you have carried for far too long. They may be leading you toward the land, the medicine, and the deeper healing your spirit has been asking for.

Your Ancestors have already walked this road. They left wisdom, medicine, and pathways of freedom behind for you.

Now, Beloved, it is your turn.

Yemayá met me in the depths of postpartum, when I didn't recognize the woman staring back at me in the mirror. She held me in waves I didn't think I'd survive — the exhaustion, the identity shifts, the grief of who I was before motherhood met the fierce love of who I was becoming.

She didn't just teach me how to mother my children. She taught me how to mother myself — with the same tenderness, patience, and grace I was pouring into everyone else.

That's her gift. She is the ocean that rocks us before we ever know land, and she keeps rocking us long after — through every version of ourselves we have to grieve and rebirth.

If you're in the depths right now, mama — postpartum or otherwise — I want you to know: the water doesn't just take. She gives back. She always gives back.

So today, I return to her shore with my flowers and my gratitude, because what she's done for me, she has done for so many of us. Ashé to every person she's held.

Iyá mi, Yemayá Olokun. 🐚💙

Remember to live your life with love, grace, and ease.

Let’s talk about pregnancy loss and its spiritual impact.

Whether a pregnancy ended through miscarriage, bort!on, stillbirth, or another circumstance, that child may still hold a place within the spiritual story of the family.

In Caribbean ancestral traditions, pregnancy loss is acknowledged through prayer, ritual, and ceremony. The child is remembered. The mother is supported. The cycle is lovingly brought to completion.

In my personal healing work, I have witnessed how unacknowledged loss can continue to live within the womb, the emotions, and the family. It can show up as unexplained Illnesses, "bad luck", relationship problems, financial issues and more.

Sometimes what is asking for attention is not only grief—it is the spiritual relationship between the mother and the child who did not remain in the physical world.

Every loss is different. Every woman’s relationship with that child is different. Therefore, every ritual of acknowledgment and completion must be approached with care, compassion, and respect for the circumstances.

Whether your loss happened four months ago, four years ago, or forty years ago, it is not too late to honor that child, tend to your womb, and lovingly close the cycle.

This is not about guilt or punishment. It is about remembrance, acknowledgment, and creating space for peace—for the mother, the child, and the family.

If you feel called to explore this work with me, send me a private message. You may also consider joining us for the Indigenous Medicine Woman Healing Retreat on Feb 20-28, 2027 where we will learn about Mayan womb healing herbalism, ancestral practices, and so much more.

Nobody told me my womb was cold until a Maya healer put her hands on my belly and said, "mija, this needs warmth." 😳🤍

Back in 2021, I arrived in México recently postpartum — depressed, anxious, my body slow, my back aching in ways that just wouldn't let up. I felt so far from myself. I didn't have the words for it then, but looking back, my womb was cold. Stagnant. Holding onto grief and pain I never got to release.

It was the hands and wisdom of the Maya people that brought me back to life. My postpartum pain went away. I started coming back to myself, piece by piece. Over four years later, I'm still deeply connected to the family who healed me.

A cold womb isn't something a doctor will diagnose — but if you're carrying fibroids, cysts, irregular cycles, or a body that just feels "off," you already know something isn't flowing right.

That's exactly why I created this retreat. Nine women. Seven days. Yucatán, México. Learning hands-on from Nana Rafita and her daughter María — real Mayan abdominal massage, herbal medicine, and the ceremony of closing what needs to close. 🌿🔥

Want to know more? Commen the word **MAYA** and I'll walk you through it. 💛
