We decide to go to therapy to stop suffering psychologically, to go through a difficult period, to understand our emotional relationships, to modify our behaviors, or to get rid of what prevents us from fully enjoying life. However, it can happen that neither our personal resources nor the help of our entourage allow us to overcome some of our difficulties. To undertake a therapy is to give onesel
f the necessary time to take care of what is not going well, with the help of someone who welcomes your words, without advising or judging. The psychoanalyst accompanies his patients in order to help them overcome the problems they encounter (symptoms, anxiety, inhibition, uneasiness, behavioral problems, sadness, etc.). In doing so, he relies on the method of exploring the unconscious invented and developed by Sigmund Freud. The treatment acts through words and is aimed at people who want to change the way their psyche works in depth. The psychoanalyst does not judge, does not advise, does not evaluate, and does not interrupt the flow of thoughts and free associations. He intervenes at the appropriate moment in order to question the desire. My interest in psychoanalysis goes back to my university years and was born of the desire to explore the functioning of the human mind and to act on the causes of suffering. At the same time, for more than 20 years, I pursued a career in teaching literature, first in France, then in different countries, and finally in Mexico, where I currently reside. Today I dedicate myself entirely to the practice of psychoanalytical therapy.
