Increase in l***aplasty as women strive for 'normal' look
Have you ever wondered if your nether regions are normal? Many women have, and new data shows they may be going under the knife in a quest for what they believe are more aesthetically pleasing ge****ls.
Data released Wednesday by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons found a 39% increase in l***aplasty surgeries in 2016, with more than 12,000 procedures. The procedure can range from $2500 to upwards of $6000 and involves lifting or trimming the l***a or injecting fat or filler into the area.

Nine weeks after Angelina Jolie underwent a double mastectomy to prevent cancer, the actress had another surgery to reconstruct her breasts using implants.
"There have been many advances in this procedure in the last few years, and the results can be beautiful," Jolie wrote in her op-ed piece for The New York Times.
Breast reconstruction is not right for everyone, says CNN contributor Dr. Anthony Youn, a plastic surgeon in Detroit. But studies have shown that women who undergo immediate reconstruction following a mastectomy benefit psychologically.
