It took me around four karmic relationships to truly understand this.
And by karmic, I mean relationships where two people come together mostly from their wounds. Maybe they needed to happen so both souls could learn what they needed before finally meeting someone aligned from love instead of constant pain and fear.
I promised myself I wouldn’t expose my relationship so much online, but there’s something really beautiful about what I’m experiencing today that feels worth sharing.
And it’s that I feel like we can truly see each other beyond projection. Being to being. Soul to soul.
And I don’t mean that in a hippie way. I just mean being with someone who is willing to see truth beyond their subjective eyes or expectations of a partner. Someone willing to recognize when fear, conditioning, past wounds or projections are speaking… and not make the other person the enemy because of it. Because truth does not mean we are perfect, shadows may manifest too along the way. But what we do with them matters.
And I think that’s why I resonate so deeply with what Ram Dass says about relationships being one of the deepest forms of yoga.
Relationships become one of the most intense mirrors we will ever experience. At some point, there’s nowhere left to escape, no one else left to blame… only a defense left to dissolve.
And in that process, something really beautiful can happen:
you get to love someone for who they truly are, without needing to impose yourself onto them, without falling into feeding the projections. And therefore, you are able to build unity without loosing individuality.
This is something I have very deep respect for because of how healing it feels to experience it.
