🚸 The Road to “Orang Gila” — Life of an Infant Caregiver 🤣
Every day at the infant care centre:
👶 Baby looks at you silently.🙋 Caregiver: “Good morning! Did you sleep well?”👶 No reply.
🙋 Caregiver: “Wow! You’re so handsome today!”🙋 Caregiver: “Thank you, teacher!”
🎵 Singing alone.💃 Dancing alone.🎭 Acting alone.👏 Praising yourself.💬 Asking questions and answering them yourself.
“Who wants milk?”🙋 “Me!”
“Who is the cutest baby?”🙋 “You are!”
“Who did a great job today?”🙋 “Teacher did!”
To outsiders, it may look like we’re slowly taking the express lane to becoming “orang gila.” 😆
But behind all the self-talk, silly songs, funny dances, and exaggerated expressions is a caregiver trying her best to engage, stimulate, comfort, and connect with little ones who are still learning to communicate.
The babies may not say “thank you” yet, but every smile, giggle, eye contact, and tiny milestone makes it all worthwhile. ❤️
So here’s a shout-out to all infant caregivers:The professional singers, dancers, storytellers, comedians, actors, cheerleaders, and problem-solvers wrapped into one.
You may talk to yourself all day, but you’re helping little minds grow every minute. 🌱👶💕
