๐ธ The Road to โOrang Gilaโ โ Life of an Infant Caregiver ๐คฃ
Every day at the infant care centre:
๐ถ Baby looks at you silently.๐ Caregiver: โGood morning! Did you sleep well?โ๐ถ No reply.
๐ Caregiver: โWow! Youโre so handsome today!โ๐ Caregiver: โThank you, teacher!โ
๐ต Singing alone.๐ Dancing alone.๐ญ Acting alone.๐ Praising yourself.๐ฌ Asking questions and answering them yourself.
โWho wants milk?โ๐ โMe!โ
โWho is the cutest baby?โ๐ โYou are!โ
โWho did a great job today?โ๐ โTeacher did!โ
To outsiders, it may look like weโre slowly taking the express lane to becoming โorang gila.โ ๐
But behind all the self-talk, silly songs, funny dances, and exaggerated expressions is a caregiver trying her best to engage, stimulate, comfort, and connect with little ones who are still learning to communicate.
The babies may not say โthank youโ yet, but every smile, giggle, eye contact, and tiny milestone makes it all worthwhile. โค๏ธ
So hereโs a shout-out to all infant caregivers:The professional singers, dancers, storytellers, comedians, actors, cheerleaders, and problem-solvers wrapped into one.
You may talk to yourself all day, but youโre helping little minds grow every minute. ๐ฑ๐ถ๐
