It’s a Toilet Training Simulation 🚽🧻

This exercise mimics the specific reaching and grasping actions used when managing pants or using toilet paper. By practicing with colorful pegs, the child learns the reach and pull motion in a fun, low-pressure environment before applying it to daily bathroom routines.

What will they get from this simulation?

1. Midline Crossing: Encourages the child to reach across their body, which is essential for coordinating both sides of the brain.

​2. Shoulder & Arm Flexibility: Builds the range of motion required to reach behind the back, a necessary movement for pulling clothes up/down and wiping.

​3. Fine Motor Strength: Squeezing the pegs strengthens the small muscles in the fingers and hands.

​4. Proprioception: Helps the child understand where their hands are even when they can’t see them (developing body awareness).

​5. Hand-Eye Coordination: Improves the ability to focus and execute precise movements in a sequence.
