On 26 May 2026, we were honoured to welcome Associate Professor Dr. Chu from the Faculty of Health Sciences, H-Care, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), to visit our centre.

Representing Hand In Hand OTC, our Director, Ms. Oh, attended this meaningful meeting and professional exchange.

This visit marks an encouraging step towards strengthening future Singapore–Malaysia collaborations in allied health education. We look forward to creating more opportunities that will benefit students from both countries, particularly those pursuing Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy.

Potential areas of collaboration include research initiatives, internship programmes, academic exchanges, and professional development opportunities.

Together, we aim to foster greater learning, innovation, and cross-border partnerships to support the future growth of allied health professionals.

We are honoured to share that our founder, Ms Oh, was invited as an External Advisor for the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) Speech Therapy Programme to conduct a sharing session with undergraduate speech therapy students on Friday, 8 May 2026.

The session provided students with valuable insights into the real-life working world of speech therapy, including practical experiences, professional expectations, and the importance of compassionate care in the field.

It was truly a great and interactive session, filled with meaningful discussions and enthusiastic participation from the future generation of speech therapists. We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the students’ learning journey and inspire future professionals in the field.
