Finding a lump in your neck can be worrying — but not all thyroid lumps are dangerous. In fact, most thyroid nodules are benign (non-cancerous). However, some may require further evaluation to rule out cancer. So how do you know when to be concerned?

Watch out for these signs:
• A lump that is growing in size
• Difficulty swallowing or breathing
• Persistent hoarseness of voice
• Family history of thyroid cancer

A simple clinical assessment, ultrasound, and in some cases a needle test (FNA) can help determine the nature of the lump.

The key is not to ignore it. Early detection allows for better outcomes and peace of mind. If you’ve noticed a lump in your neck, it’s best to get it checked.

发现脖子有肿块，难免会让人感到担心——但并不是所有甲状腺肿块都是危险的。 事实上，大多数甲状腺结节都是良性的（非癌性）。不过，仍有一部分需要进一步检查，以排除癌症的可能。 那么，什么时候需要提高警惕呢？

请留意以下情况：

今天参加了一场关于结直肠癌的学习交流会，收获满满，也更新了不少相关知识，和大家简单分享几点重点：

1️⃣ 华人人群的发病率相对较高
2️⃣ 近年被诊断出的年轻患者人数逐渐增加
3️⃣ 虽然已有筛查方式，但大众对筛查的认知仍不足
4️⃣ 亚洲地区的死亡率相较西方国家更高
5️⃣ 大约10%的病例与家族遗传有关
