在 1993年我刚进入水族馆的行业的时候在那个年代就很流行用一种叫做 undergravel system的系统。
鱼缸底部放了 undergravel(礫石底）上面就放了很多的小沙仔或小石头。
水就依靠undergravel和小沙仔一直的旋转来filter.
在早期鱼不多的时候看到很干净，但当鱼一多鱼的糞便 filter不到后水質完全变坏了。
在那时候才知道原来这种系统是不大可行的。
在不久后听说有几位年轻人还把这种系统推广用在鱼池里。
我也有好几位顧客用上了这种系统，我也为接受我意见的顧客改回我建议的biological system, aquaponic syatem及 biological plus water trickle method 的系统來養他们的鱼。
其实undergravel system 並不是说不可以用但前提是不可以养多鱼。
鱼池中水的律动一定要足够强，够強的水的冲力才可以养出漂亮体型的鱼來。
还有一定要用上能够生出好菌的 filter media 來用而不是用不会生菌小沙粒来用。
