I’m in great appreciation to Prof. Dr. Shahril Yusof for initiating this Invited Guest Lecture featuring Prof. Sharaf Ibrahim and Dr. Jameela Sathar.

My sincere thanks also go to Mr. Ravin Prabaharan , Dr. Anderson, Sr. Cornell l, and the entire organising team for your outstanding effort in coordinating this academic programme for our Year 4 and Year 5 FPSK UMS medical students.

The lectures—“Management in Paediatric Trauma and General Paediatric Orthopaedic Problems” by Prof. Sharaf Ibrahim and “Perioperative Patient Blood Management: Treatment of Anemia Peri-Operatively” by Dr. Jameela Sathar—were highly informative, engaging, and valuable for your clinical learning.

Today is the first day for our students Year 4 orthopedic posting having a formal class in Wound management under our adjunct lecturer Dr. Anantha (Head Of Unit, Wound Management and Stoma Care ) in Qeh II. We Hope that our students will have more exposure and knowledge in wound care management. We believe that wound management is part and parcel of our daily practise as clinician.
