👁️ World Sight Day 2026 — Love Your Eyes, Protect Your Vision

Universal Optometry is truly honoured and grateful to be invited to be part of World Sight Day 2026, an important initiative dedicated to raising awareness about eye health and the importance of taking care of our vision.

It was a privilege for our team to contribute through FREE eye screening, providing members of the public with an opportunity to understand more about their eye health and the importance of regular eye examinations.

We were especially honoured to work alongside doctors and healthcare professionals from government hospitals, coming together with a shared purpose — to promote better eye health and make the community more aware of the importance of early detection and prevention. 👁️💙

From children to adults and seniors, everyone deserves access to proper eye care.

Many eye conditions can develop gradually without obvious symptoms. Regular eye examinations can help identify potential concerns early and allow appropriate professional advice and follow-up.

For us at Universal Optometry, being an optometrist is more than providing glasses.

It is about educating, preventing, detecting and serving our community.

🙏 A heartfelt thank you to the organisers, participating government hospital doctors, healthcare professionals and everyone who made this meaningful World Sight Day event possible.

❤️ Honoured to Serve Our Community

Universal Optometry is truly honoured and grateful to be invited by BCCM Kota Kinabalu to be part of their community service programme.

It was a privilege for us to come together with the BCCM team and contribute our professional knowledge and experience in eye health and vision care. Special thanks to DR. Charlottee Lee to contribute her time with us too.

👁️ We believe that good vision is an important part of a healthy and meaningful life. Through community outreach, we hope to create greater awareness about the importance of regular eye examinations, early detection and proper eye care.

Beyond our daily work in the optometry practice, we are always grateful for opportunities to bring eye care closer to the community and to serve those around us.

🌿 A Meaningful Day of Community Service

Universal Optometry is truly honoured and grateful to have been invited by Klinik Kesihatan Putatan to be part of their community service programme.

It was a meaningful opportunity for us to step outside our clinic and bring our professional eye care services closer to the community — especially to those who may have limited access to regular eye examinations.

👁️ During the programme, our team had the opportunity to provide basic eye screening and vision assessments(fundus camera), while taking the time to listen, educate and raise awareness about the importance of taking care of our eyes.

For us, optometry is not only about prescribing glasses.

It is also about serving the community, promoting eye health, detecting potential problems early, and helping people maintain a better quality of vision and life.

We would like to sincerely thank Klinik Kesihatan Putatan for the invitation and for giving Universal Optometry the opportunity to contribute.

🙏 We are grateful for the trust and collaboration.

Together, we can make eye care more accessible to our community.
