Do you have to tell your parents or in laws about IVF?

No. IVF treatment is a personal medical decision, and disclosure beyond your partner and fertility specialist is your choice.

Some couples prefer family support, while others value privacy. Setting boundaries is okay.

Your fertility journey deserves respect, confidentiality and informed decisions.

✨ A VERY SPECIAL FIRST-TRIMESTER GRADUATION ✨

Some journeys are best celebrated quietly, meaningfully, and with immense gratitude. ❤️

Today was one of those moments.

Standing beside this wonderful couple, holding the first precious images of their little one, was a beautiful reminder of what the IVF journey is truly about.

Behind this photograph are months of planning, commitment, trust and hope, and today, they officially graduate from their first trimester. 🎓👶✨

For me, every successful IVF journey is personal. Being entrusted with something as precious as the dream of becoming parents is a responsibility I never take lightly.

To this amazing couple, congratulations. ❤️

It has been a privilege to walk this important chapter with you. Now, you move forward from fertility treatment into the beautiful journey of pregnancy and parenthood.

From a dream… to a heartbeat… to a growing little life. ✨

Wishing the three of you a smooth and beautiful journey ahead. 🥂❤️

🇧🇩 FROM DHAKA WITH HOPE… BACK WITH A BABY BOY 💙

There was a knock on my clinic door.

I looked up…
and for a moment, I was speechless.

A familiar couple stood there.
But this time, they weren’t alone.

In their arms was their **beautiful baby boy.** 👶🏻💙

They had travelled all the way from **Dhaka, Bangladesh 🇧🇩 to Malaysia 🇲🇾** for their IVF journey.

They came with hope.
They went home carrying a dream.

And months later…
they came back carrying that dream **in their arms.**

A healthy little boy.
A proud father.
A glowing mother.
A family, finally complete. ❤️

I asked them something I often wonder when patients travel thousands of kilometres:

**“Why did you choose me?”**

Their answer was simple.

**“Doctor, we trusted you.”**

Those words stayed with me.

Because IVF is not only injections, scans, eggs, s***m and embryos.

It is trust.

Trusting someone with years of waiting.
Trusting someone with your disappointments.
Trusting someone with your hope of becoming parents.

And when that trust returns months later…
wrapped in a tiny blanket,
with little hands and little feet…

there are some moments even a doctor cannot put into words.

**Dhaka → Kuala Lumpur → IVF → Baby Boy → Home.** 🇧🇩✈️🇲🇾💙

They came as two people with a dream.

**They returned as a family.**

And that unexpected knock on my door?

It became one of the most beautiful reminders of why I do what I do.

Thank you for trusting me with your most precious dream. ❤️

Fertility care is not only about tests and treatment. Awareness, education and mental health support matter too.

As more people become open to learning about fertility, having the right information can help couples make more informed decisions about their journey.

And if the emotional side becomes difficult, seeking support from a qualified mental health professional is an important part of caring for yourself.

Fertility is a journey that deserves both medical care and emotional support.

Male fertility is still one of the most overlooked parts of the fertility journey.

When a couple struggles to conceive, attention often focuses on the woman first. But infertility can involve male factors too, including s***m count, motility, morphology, hormones, and s***m production.

And many men suffer quietly.

They may feel embarrassed about testing, blame themselves, or struggle to talk about the emotional impact of fertility treatment.

A semen analysis is often an important starting point in evaluating male fertility.

Fertility care should never be about blame or shame. Both partners deserve proper evaluation, support, and understanding.

Are we waiting for the perfect partner before we're willing to take the next step?

Modern relationships come with more choices, more expectations, and sometimes more fear of making the wrong decision.

But is the search for a “perfect” partner causing people to delay commitment, marriage, and starting a family?

And could this changing timeline indirectly affect fertility?

Fear of commitment does not cause infertility. But delaying parenthood can intersect with age related fertility decline, particularly as egg quantity and quality naturally change over time.

The conversation isn't about rushing people into marriage or parenthood.

It's about understanding how our relationship choices, personal timelines, and fertility biology can intersect.

A baby can bring a couple closer. But it cannot fix a relationship that is already breaking.

Fertility treatment can be emotionally demanding. When a relationship is already struggling, the pressure of trying to conceive can make existing problems feel even bigger.

So should couples continue treatment when their relationship is under strain?

There isn't one answer for everyone.

What matters is recognising the relationship challenges, having honest conversations, and seeking the right support before bringing another major responsibility into the picture.

A baby deserves to enter a relationship where both partners feel supported, heard, and ready for the journey ahead.

Why is the woman so often blamed first when a couple can't conceive?

Infertility can affect both partners, yet fertility testing often starts with the woman while the man may never be tested.

Male factors can contribute significantly to infertility, including issues with s***m count, motility, morphology, hormones, or s***m production.

But for many men, getting tested can feel uncomfortable because of shame, embarrassment, or fear of being judged.

A semen analysis is a simple but important part of a couple's fertility evaluation.

Infertility isn't a woman's problem.
It isn't a man's problem.

It's a couple's journey, and both partners deserve to be evaluated without blame.

“If they can do it later, I can too.”

Social media has made comparison part of everyday life.

We see influencers building careers, travelling, getting married later, and having children later, and it can create the impression that fertility will simply wait.

But fertility doesn't follow trends.

Egg quantity and quality decline with age, and while many people can have healthy pregnancies later in life, fertility can become more challenging as we get older.

The question isn't whether people should marry or have children earlier.

The question is:
Are we making those decisions with enough information about our fertility?

Your timeline is personal. But understanding your biological timeline can help you make more informed choices.

If we screen for health conditions before marriage, should we screen fertility too?

Technically, we can assess certain aspects of fertility. Tests can provide information about reproductive health, ovarian reserve, s***m parameters, and some underlying conditions.

But should every couple be told their fertility status before marriage?

Not necessarily.

Fertility isn't a simple pass or fail test. A result that looks reassuring today doesn't guarantee future fertility, while an abnormal result doesn't always mean someone cannot have children.

Routine pre-marital fertility screening could also create unnecessary anxiety, stigma, or pressure around marriage and parenthood.

The better approach is understanding when fertility testing is actually appropriate and interpreting the results with a qualified fertility specialist.

Fertility information should empower people, not create fear.
