Infectious diseases such as COVID spread via airborne tiny water droplets, so called aerosols. They are created when an infected person talks or sneezes.

The computer simulation below shows how airborne infectious diseases such as COVID are spread in an indoor environment.

Aerosols can remain airborne for hours and are carried around in the indoor environment by the airflows in the room.

Filtration remains inefficient because the aerosols have to be sucked into the air filter before being caught. As such the aerosols will pass through the air until they reach the filter.

UV222 far UVC light shining into a room inactivates airborne diseases being carried on aerosols immediately upon being exposed to the aerosols. This prevents the airborne diseases from spreading indoor.

COVID 19 virus is still spreading. Malaysia found the virus is 96 % of the samples of wastewater aboard planes arriving between June and December 2022.

The wastewater from 28 of 29 airline flights in in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, collected from June to December 31 of last year contained the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2)
