For three unforgettable days, the 40th Annual Congress of the Malaysian Society of Nephrology (MSN Congress 2026) brought together a passionate community with one common purpose—to learn, to inspire, to collaborate, and ultimately, to improve the future of kidney care.

From the excitement of the opening ceremony, thought-provoking lectures, meaningful conversations in the exhibition hall, and inspiring research presentations, to moments of recognition, celebration, and laughter—every interaction became part of a story we'll remember.

This congress wasn't made special by the programme alone. It was made special by you.

To every delegate who travelled near and far, every faculty member and speaker who generously shared their expertise, every sponsor, exhibitor, partner, volunteer, and committee member who worked tirelessly behind the scenes—thank you for being part of this journey.

𝐀 𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐌𝐒𝐍 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

As the 40th Annual Congress of the Malaysian Society of Nephrology (MSN Congress 2026) came to a close, Professor Dr Lim Soo Kun, Organising Chairperson and outgoing President of the Malaysian Society of Nephrology, delivered a heartfelt closing address, expressing his sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of this year’s congress.

“𝐼𝑓 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑐𝑎𝑛’𝑡 𝑓𝑙𝑦 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑛 𝑟𝑢𝑛, 𝑖𝑓 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑐𝑎𝑛’𝑡 𝑟𝑢𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑛 𝑤𝑎𝑙𝑘, 𝑖𝑓 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑐𝑎𝑛’𝑡 𝑤𝑎𝑙𝑘 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑛 𝑐𝑟𝑎𝑤𝑙, 𝑏𝑢𝑡 𝑤ℎ𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑑𝑜, 𝑦𝑜𝑢 ℎ𝑎𝑣𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑘𝑒𝑒𝑝 𝑚𝑜𝑣𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑤𝑎𝑟𝑑.”

His words reminded us that progress is built through perseverance, collaboration, and the collective efforts of a community working toward a shared purpose.

The Closing Ceremony also marked a significant leadership transition with the official introduction of the 𝐌𝐒𝐍 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔–𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟖, ushering in a new chapter for the Society and reaffirming its commitment to the future of nephrology in Malaysia.

Taking the stage for the first time as the new President, 𝐃𝐫 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐧𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐢 𝐘𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐲𝐚 shared her vision for the years ahead, built around 𝐟𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐤𝐞𝐲 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬: 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐤𝐢𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧, 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐧𝐞𝐩𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲, 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬 who form the heart of the Society, and preparing Malaysia to proudly host the 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐞𝐩𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟕. She also expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the previous council for laying the strong foundation that will continue to guide the Society forward.

As one chapter closes, another begins. Here’s to continued collaboration, stronger partnerships, and a shared commitment to advancing nephrology and improving kidney care for all Malaysians.
