The Archdiocese of Kuala Lumpur has officially clarified that a recently circulated image involving the Archbishop and an alleged “Bantuan Dana DAP Malaysia” programme is FALSE and does not represent genuine or verified information.

We kindly urge everyone not to forward, repost or amplify unverified content circulating on social media or messaging platforms. Even sharing such content “for awareness” can unintentionally contribute to confusion and misinformation.

❓ Why is this matter taken seriously?
False information involving the Church, clergy or the Archbishop can create unnecessary confusion, damage trust and cause division within the community. As Catholics, we are called to uphold truth, charity and responsibility in all forms of communication — especially online.

❓ How can parishioners verify information?
Please rely only on:
• Official Archdiocesan communication channels
• Official parish announcements
• Verified statements from clergy or authorised Church representatives

❓ What should we do when receiving suspicious messages or images?
Before forwarding:
• Verify the source
• Check official Church channels
• Avoid reacting emotionally
